    Hi
I was in Tesco this afternoon getting some paxo stuffing 20p - 85g

3 men in suits was chatting to one of the tesco shelf fillers showing him this held machine that was printing out labels with writing on The labels were yellow and white in colour, something like the reduced labels (i think) couldn't see very well wasn't that close.
After the machine printed the label he then put it on the outer box of the new stock then put it on the top shelf were the stock is held
The men in suits said "stock can be price checked and label before going on shop floor and stock price & control should be easier" Couldn't over hear much more tooo many people were around. what a pain.
Have Mr T got his house in order???... no never
Maybe thats why we are not seeing 1p items lately??

Look out for the new yellow and white labels on new stock, see if you can make anything out of it. I will take a look next time i go in
Maybe nothing hopefully not. i'm just getting into this lark
cheers:) Thanks for all your help and advice everyone. Iv'e been a bit of a lurker, my confidence is building

This is part of the new stock reduction process. Any stock that does not fit on the shelf gets put on the capping shelf, top shelf, and then that is used to fill the shelf later. After each delivery is worked the overs are scanned and one of these labels put on so that the stock is worked in the right order and there is lower stock holding, therefore saving money.

It has nothing to do with the price the stuff is sold for.

The printers and the PDA are same ones that are used to do reductions, they just change the labels.

What size tubs should I use please:)

I don't know what sizes they are but I use the standard cream cheese size tubs (like the tesco own ones) and the elmlea size double creams. Hope that helps, sorry I cant be more help.

Scrap that I just realised I can look it up on tesco online. I use the 200g, 250g or 300g tubs (depends on whats on offer lol) of cream cheese, 250ml/300ml cream

If you want to double it you can use 3 jellies with doube the above

    Hi Everyone,

I'm new here and this is my first post. I have been following the forum for a couple of weeks and i'm very grateful for all the bargains i have found thanks to you all. I have been waiting till i find a bargain before posting, and that time has come!

I know this is not the right place to post this but not sure where to post!

I was in tescos yesterday looking at the toys when i came across a box of lego for 5 years plus, was £15.00 down to £7.50 with a half price sticker. When i looked closer the date on the ticket it was 7th july 2011. Well i decided to take all 3 and pay for them, as suspected they went through at £15.00 took them to customer services and they gave me DTD, FREE LEGO FOR ME. Thanks Mr Tescos!

I hope this helps somene -

    Blok Squad by Mega
From the box, there are 4 different sets to collect.
    218 peices
    Barcode - 06554024021
This barcode was on a sticker on top of the orginal one. Just a normal barcode not reduced or anything.

Think thats all the info you need.
  • Wow, first time in ages that I've found this thread not on the first page. I noticed last night at my local that there was a shelf full of Tesco's "ingredients" range all RTC so may be worth keeping an eye on. Most had only been reduced once so far so would probably be a while if it ever went to a penny. Although there were one or two things reduced twice (such as gelatin 20p ish)

Hi all, I've had a fab day MSE'ing today and I have found a NEW PENNY ITEM!!!!! Goodies Organic Raspberry & Apple Soft Oaty Bar 30g Barcode: 5024121822308 scans as 'Baby Food £0.01' (individual bars) These are suitable for all ages, they are just cereal bars, very tasty too, my toddler is happily munching on one as I type. They were on a clip strip in the baby aisle. Bargain as these are usually pretty expensive.

I jst looked for these in Inv3rn3ss retail park but I couldn't find them, gutted as my daughter loves them, but I wasn't paying over £2 odd for a box of 6, I'm mean like that lol :D

Might have to check out Insh3s later, couldn't be bothered going there as dd was getting grumpy stuck in the trolley lol.

The only other thing I found was the boxers and socks for £1.25, sticker said £10 reduced to £5 but checked it first and £1.25 it was, so bought the last 2 medium ones but there are a few small ones left if anyones intrested :D
