Hey everyone, Went to Dent*n Homeplus yesterday and found some stripey glasses with 4 for £3 stickers on. I was charged £1.25 each, so went to CS as overcharged. Thought i'd ask them for my first DTD!! :) Only to bet told that I wasn't going to get it as I hadn't left store :( I nervously but politely said that I was sure it wasn't right, to be told DTD is only there to compensate customers for having to make a return trip?!

    hth

No, this isn't right. You found that you were overcharged as you were checking your receipt walking away from checkout. Is it your fault that you were overcharged? You need to stand up to them and firmly explain that it is their policy, maybe point to board behind them...if there? HTH

You must definately can go back! Phone up HO and tell them what's happened. They will phone the store usually and someone will get told off, don't like getting people told off but this is the worst excuse I've ever heard for not giving DTD!! and then you should be able to go back in and collect your DTD. Just explain to HO what happened.

Of course you can go back. It only happened yesterday.

You got home, checked your receipt, realised you've been overcharged, so have now gone back to complain.

It's a company policy, each and every store should give you DTD when you've been overcharged.

This happened to me - I was told exactly the same. Emailed Tesco customer service (from their website) who apologised and sent me a money card for the extra amount. They also said they would point out to the store concerned that they were wrong - you do not have to leave the store!

all stickers been removed from stripey glasses in my locals, can only assume T's have pulled their socks up:( or a fellow MSe'er has been strutting their DTD stuff :T

Wasnt me! I went to B**by store on Tuesday and there were lots of glasses with stickers. Only the colour ones though. Found some Megablocks but no half price labels on them and no SEL. No squeezy jam, no teabags. In fact, nothing except the cranberry sauce, which I hate but OH loves.

And after stockpiling all the doves, superdrug shower creams, shampoos and conditioners, I thought I had better let OH buy something for himself:A

My husband went back in yesterday after he was given just the difference back at the weekend. He took in the original purchase receipt and the refund receipt and was given back another £14 no problem to make DTD.

He had to have a tracheotomy yesterday and now has a 5 inch scar on his throat and is feeling very sorry for himself.OH slept on the sofa last night as every time we leave the room he cries:( At least it only turned out to be a fatty lump and nothing nasty but it was so near his windpipe was causing him probs.

I have a dog (amongst other animals) and know how upsetting it is when one is poorly. Its just a shame we cant explain to them why we are putting them through operations.

Hope your dog is better soon
