Dunno why they refunded me £30 twice then had re pay £15 and keep blocks, anyone think they messed up as refunded me originally, then i came back later? to get dtd, seams dumb to not check stickers and just put them out haha0

If you scan the item before you buy it and then go for dtd when you are overcharged arnt you worried about the sa spotting you and saying you knew the price error in the first place.
I don't think it says on their price promise thingy that knowing that you are being over charged negates DTD.0 -

Lets say you bought the Gordon Ramsey dinner service and the SEL says £25 but you pay £50 then you go to the CS staff for DTD why do they never ask why you never spotted this glaringly obvious mistake?
When I got mine, long but funny story, all the cs woman could say was, so that's £50 back, but you knew that already didn't you, with no sign of humour. I was peeing myself! Please don't judge me. you couldn't handle half of what I've been through.0 -

Did she actually say that bit 'you knew that already didn't you' I would have blasted her for being rude and told her that they need to improving their standard of pricing items. Then walked away smiling broadly.:p0 -

While s/he was waiting for a manager or someone to come and speak to her about it s/he went off wandering around the store, found the discrepancy, purchased it then went back to CS for DTD. This kind of thing just gives the trouts more ammunition.
Like I said, I don't blame people for doing it but at least put if through with a few other things at the same time so it's not so obvious.
That'll be me then. It was there for the taking, I don't photocopy vouchers etc and I was proving a point. Anyhow, it Tesco's policy not mine and I seem to have helped a few others. I did buy some other things at the same time FYI!Please don't judge me. you couldn't handle half of what I've been through.0 -

No, the scanner is at the back of the store well hidden and I do it with normal shop. Staff never bat an eyelid! I seem to be getting a bit of stick for being so blatant but hey you gotta get what you can and I'm not abusing vouchers or the law! Also, I'd just say I was scanning something else in my trolley that didn't have a price label. Unlikely that a member of staff would then follow me around tesco until I paid. Please don't judge me. you couldn't handle half of what I've been through.0 -

There is a good argument for this though with self service tills but otherwise there are no terms for this and dtd seems to be dependent on the staff, although I now seem to have overcome that hurdle and get dtd with no problem at all! Please don't judge me. you couldn't handle half of what I've been through.0 -

And we're glad you did! :A I love my dinner set and it's all thank to you! :T
I got my set separately to my other shopping... It doesn't matter if I saw the price when I was paying or not... (I did very well indeed... even asked the SA to check before removing the security thingy... :rotfl:) Things didn't add up so I got my dtd0 -

Did attempt to pick up a couple of cheeky Doves but the SS wouldn't accept my coupon - has anyone else had that error as I've not heard of it happening before? Its the one were it basically says voucher cannot be used yet (ie you haven't bought the item it's for)?
[/QUOTE]
As another poster said this is what happens when you try to scan a coupon before you've subtotalled the transaction. It happened to me on a manned till last week, I was confused that none of my coupons would scan until the SA read out the message - the "...yet" made me ask her if she'd totalled it yet and she said Oops! It was fine in the end and we had a bit of a laugh, (she was very patient with my many coupons/vouchers) but it's something I'll remember in future.
On the SS tills just press the "finish and pay" button and then use coupons.
It's only a game
