1p finds at Tesco thread

I think these two tesco threads are extremely simular with simular content. Especially since the 1p deals have dried up. It does seem strange to have two threads with such alike content to keep going rather than them merging some how though not having the front page updated regularly means trawling through all the posts on both threads.


But


on the other side I can see that this thread has a comaradery type feel with regulars updating and keep popping up with info. It feels more of a friendly thread – not that the other doesn't but hopefully you understand what I'm trying to type.


I did suggest jumblejack starting a tesco thread with deals on the front page, which has been done so it's easy to keep up with the tesco value deals because you don't have to wade through the info -thank you for that thread jumblejack :beer:



Maybe something can be done about all the threads but I for one prefer the latest value thread just due to the much better layout and updates.. though i still try and skim through the others just incase a deal pops up - just need a few hours spare to wade through them :rotfl:(kidding!!!)

I must admit I like this thread as it is.It doesnt take that long to read through a few pages, plus I always pick up little tips and it has a great "community" feel to it:)

Hello all, went to both Harlow Tescos yesterday.

Picked up 2 Belgian choco cakes - 87p each!
5 strawberry and cream tarts - 50p each!
10 Quality teabags x80 - 7p each! (Check barcode ends in 411)
6 Half fat custards - 30p each!

My wife is 6 months pregnant with our second child so this haul should alleviate her cravings and hopefully control her erratic hormones!

No mice, Gordon Ramsey wobbly plates, or chilli nuts, but the 2 Koko truffles that had their barcodes covered and were left by another MSEr mysteriously 'lost' their reduced stickers!!!! Im not naming any names, but I think I know who did it! Went through at a penny each!
Im certain Tesco has reduced these countrywide as they expire at end of July, but I think it might be greedy tesco management who put the price up so they can have more of our money?!? I base this on the fact that 1p finds are legitimate and not a glitch?! Dont think I'm wrong but am open to being proved wrong by any DT's out there! (Darling Trouts!) LOLLOP!

Also would make it too easy for lurkers that take advantage of the glitches we post but contribute nothing themselves. Hi mum :T Yes, my mum is one of them but I post on here on her behalf as we can split ourselves across half a dozen stores and let people know what we find.

I know that the title of the thread is 1p finds in Tesco (or some such) but it's much more than that. It's the place where we share our finds, our funny little stories and a sense of community spirit. I find people to be more helpful and tolerant on this thread than anywhere else on the grabbit boards. If you have a problem and you post here, you're really unlikely to be told "WRONG BOARD, SHOULD BE ON BLAH BLAH BLAH" or "OFF TOPIC" people will try to help.

I love this thread. It's definitely my favourite and I'd be gutted if it changed.

That said, someone came up with the idea that new bargains and finds should be written inbold blue for those that only want to know about the new 1p items. Maybe we should try harder to implement that?
