I thought I'd try some DTD hunting around the electricals today. Found some cameras with out of date SELs but alas they actually scanned cheaper than the SEL! There's a shed load of phones (not mobile, landline type ones) on offer in my local with the finish date being 12/07. Silly season is next week over here in NI so maybe someone will forget to amend the SELs.

Actually, would someone on the mainland check to see if there are any phones on offer and if any of the end dates are the same as ours that way there should be a national price change and not just a local one?

    TIA.

Went to Mr T's today on the lookout for penny items, BBQ etc, didn't manage to find any 1p items, but did finally see choc custard which has magically appeared since going back up in price (there wasn't even a gap on the shelf where it should have been when it was scannign at 10p), but now its full price, they have crammed it on the shelf!!! Also finally found some Roses, again, now that they are full price. I thought I found the BBQ, but turned out to be a slightly smaller one. Tea was all the wrong barcode, not Strawberry Tarts, or Choc Pudding (never has been) or harpic. But as a saving grace, did manage to find a Gordon Ramsey dinner set marked as half price at £25 with an out of date SEL, guess what it scanned at........that's right £50, so free dinner set for me!!!
At least it wasn't a wasted trip, ooh and I got some best grandad socks, which had actually been marked down to 25p. :j

Clothes Golden Rule: Never pay full price unless it is an utter bargain in the first place!
Sales, boots, charity shops, ebay- why would anyone ever pay full price for anything??!

    me too! :D
been on a mission today to find a dinner set... I'd be happy with a 8.00GBP one some of you managed... looked at all of them and nothing was there... and then... I looked up... :p one lonely gordon ramsey set sitting there with a SEL of 25.00GBP under it :D so I quicky took it off the shelf and dragged to the till... asked the guy to check the price for me... he was horrified and told me it's 50GBP! :rotfl:I said it's fine then, he asked: are you sure?! :rotfl:
went to CS and the "nice" lady said I have to go upstairs to the home CS  then two of the CS/SA's pretended they know nothing about dtd and only manager can do it so I asked for her to come over... :p She was very grumpy but did it for me... :T
    :j:j:j
Arrived at home 3 hours later then normally but well worth it! :D

MANY THANKS to whoever posted about the dinner sets and to nikkilala for her great help everytime I ask :A
