Hi, I was just wondering if they have a self price checker at Slough? I am thinking of heading over this weekend but not sure I can face the ordeal only to get to the til and find everything is more than I thought :)

Morning everyone, debating on whether to hit T's today, I seem to get edgy if I don't get a "glitch a day":rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Should be working really, so think I will just check on here every hour just to see if their is anything I really need!! I was a bit put out when I saw the penny list on HDUK. I do realise that we can't stop others looking at the thread, and that's fine, but they should have to trawl through the thread the same as we do, and with all the hard work that goes into finding these things,it seems a bit off that people should just be handed a list on a plate. If people have to look through the thread to find things they are more likely to contribute and become part of our friendly, chatty, helpful community(Mostly:rotfl:) I know that I sometimes check HDUK sometimes for deals and post them on here and vice versa with them, but to just "hand" them a spreadsheet seems a bit daft. I did think that when it was first done but didnt want to say too much for fear of getting shot down. Hopefully as someone else mentioned it will disappear off there radar soon. It reminds me of when their was a spreadsheet for DTD and the next thing we knew another forum was using it. But 1p items is worse, because their are only so many items in store and it will be the survival of the fittest,so to speak.

Sorry rant over, just feel really strongly about this one :mad:and will probably get stick over it. I truly am not wanting to come across as not wanting to share but you should have to put some effort into finding the bargains:)

I'm a few pages behind, but I'm quoting all those posts that agree pennyitems should be taken down/left alone/filled with crap. It's not out of selfishness at all - I'd love more members here using our information as the more people that know about this, the more we're likely to get new penny deals posted. Think about it - there must be dozens of these we haven't spotted over the last year because people who find them don't know this outlet exists. Giving people a website with all the info on it means we won't get the contributers here, especially if they get the site from another site, they're not going to know where it came from.

For all I care, I'd happily never get another penny item again as long as everyone is contributing to this thread and not leeching off the hard work of others.

    Tesco value dishwasher tabs barcode:

Tried this in a Tesco extra today, it was full price so could be 25p at Express only.

Not even sure why I have printed a voucher for this, havent eaten Spam since I was a kid and I'm 42. Pretty sure my kids wont like it so will probably donate to the food bank I think along with some 10p custards.

The penny item list was started by thepearce, he owns the domain and he has some of us updating the list. We do this to help out others, especially those who refer to it while shopping or those who don't have time to read through the forums. I fail to see how starting a campaign to have it deleted is needed.

See my previous post. This isn't DTD, there is no 'helping others' as all the information is contained within a thread that doesn't move that fast (compared to DTD). Most items that are current are mentioned on every page of the thread anyway. I fail to see how a website advising people of current items is needed as all it can ever do is breed complacency regarding posting new deals/updating on local store's stock, either via lurkers here just using the site and not posting and/or people getting the URL from another site and thus bypassing our community here, not posting and not contributing.

As I said earlier, it's not out of selfishness - I don't particularly care if I never find another penny item - it's out of a desire to keep this great community we have here (including you, I genuinely have nothing against you) alive and kicking with contributions.

:rotfl:would you happen to have a pic - and I must add this caveat - one that can be put on this forum :rotfl:

I'm struggling with the pic - I have one but the 'file size is too large'. If you know how to rectify this so I can post it, let me know and I'll be happy to post. Have pics of the 1p dog toys too.
