The scanners are at fixed points. It can be a bit of a search finding them. If you say which store you use I'll bet someone can help you trace it/them.
Stick to the barcodes given but use the scanner if you want to check others. You might find a new 1p item!

Oh right thank you. My closest/easiest to get to, is Frodsham Helsby store.
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.

The Roses have been 1p for a long time now. Surely Tesco could get their act together and stop stocking their shelves with them?? I like the range of things in tesco but it just gets more and more laughable with the incompetance of the company. And I don't believe tesco staff are all thick so it has to be from above.

I have not been challenged over 1p items yet by the way. I haven't even come across a trout in Aberdeen- even during dtd days. (OT but hubby laughs when i use that term-dtd days). Most SAs are delighted for me when they see the bargains. I've also directed many to SSM and BIS.

Today at Tesco Canned Black Eyed Beans in water 400g RTC to 20p and Flageolet beans half price 37p
Also got 5 bottles of 5p baby bath which will do for non babies.
And yesterday finally got my share of the 1p roses. Noticed by very young ss helper who just giggled nervously and walked off.
Still virtually alcohol free since 4/1/15. (10 Xmas/ New Year/Birthday drinks)
It takes 3500 calories to lose a pound in weight. Target 13 lbs weight loss. 18.5lbs lost 2nd May - 28 September.

Well it is experiences like that, which make me feel even less guilty for getting £15 back on DTD overcharge bacon this morning. Add to that £50 odd pound for chocs over the weekend. ;)

    Don't give up.

Please enlighten us about the bacon.

Oh no! I have missed out again :(
I have just done a blitz of the stores lookkng for overpricing too.

Which bacon was it please Stebiz?

    By the way,
Whilst scouring the shelves and seeing the only 1p item in all the stores (2 trays of roses), a little voice behind me asks "Will you leave some of those for me?"
I turn around and ask the obvious question "Are you a friend of Martin's?". It turns out that I met bebebliss so after introducing myself as Jumblejack, I shared it with her (9 boxes each!).
Looks like I still have a few tricks left to learn.

 It was nice meeting you earlier bebebliss!

All the SA needed to say was "the price is wrong in the system, I can sell these to you, but it will be at the price on the shelf" and then priced them at 1.32 (though SEL says 70p in on T near me).

No need to mention China, plenty of things in this country are sold for 1p, for instance penny sweets, so thats bordering racism, suggesting everything in China is 1p. Its not obviously, if not just because they don't use sterling..................
I was going to agree that 'chinese' is a bit racist, but then I thought: it's also a type of foood

Is it just me? I've managed to get some of the Roses in St Helens, but when I put them through in Warrington, they came up at 75p. Didn't pay for them - asked the Cashier to cancel them - but it seems a bit odd that they're not reduced in that one store...
