Laura cell, samething happened to my brother this morning. One of the SA said to him "this is not China we don't sell stuff for 1p". He then asked if he could call the manager, the manager was called and she said we cant sell it to you for 1p. My brother told her that the SA was rude to him by saying stuff about china and she started laughing... my brother lost it and started swearing. The security was called and he started grabbing and tackling him. He was taken to the office and police were called. They didn't do anything and now he has been banned from Tescos for 6months. I have SIA and I have never ever touched a person and we're not supposed to do that why do Tesco security staff touch people let alone tackle them? Well 40mins after the ban he went to another tesco 4 miles away and got 12 roses.:rotfl:He thinks there's no point complaining about the tackling bit and security grabbing him because he was swearing at them as well but I think he has every right to complain to the head office.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: i am so sorry this happened to you and hope your both alright, but this is the funniest story i have heard in a very long time (since the days of DTD when someone - celebrate i believe - said she was awoken in the early hours by the "angel of death" and the first thought was "hide my DTD stash" but it turned out to be her husband using his iphone as a torch to navigate round the room in the dark).
i love that he was tackled to the floor! so funny. i dont think his complaint would go very far as they would say after he "verbally abused" staff, they thought he was going to get phsyical so used reasonable force. however im pretty sure the china thing is a racist comment (in todays politically correct mad world). so it might be worth writing a letter and seeing what happens. however his verbal assault might just cancel out everything they did. maybe if you try the "racist incited such anger in him" and blame that fully (rather than the lack of 1p roses!) then it might fly. best you can hope for is the ban lift though methinks, and that would be down to specific store manager who, im assuming, isnt sending you a christmas card after this, so i wouldnt hold my breathe. :) Bless you though, this is TRUE dedication. he took one for the team. :rotfl::rotfl:

Also, pllleeeeeaaaasssseeee tell us what he said? im imagining "im gonna ****ing open ****ing a can of whoop a$$ on y'all" or something similar. actually, probably best not to tell us as it will never be as good as what im imagining. im also imagining your brother looks like Mr T, with the mohalk and the gold rings and shirt open to his belly-button. :)

Is it just me? I've managed to get some of the Roses in St Helens, but when I put them through in Warrington, they came up at 75p. Didn't pay for them - asked the Cashier to cancel them - but it seems a bit odd that they're not reduced in that one store...

Nope, done the same in the same 2 stores!

Wow this thread is moving so fast over the last few days. But a very big thank you to the OP of the mouse. Managed to get one! :T
Was not sure whether to risk self scan or go through a checkout, what a decision. I'm usually brave enough to try 1p bargains on their own but didn't want to chance with this so bought a few other things, wandered along the checkouts to see which SAs were not taking much notice of their screens and picked who I thought may not notice the price. Was all going well until they had to get the security tag out which was not easy so obviously the price was on the screen for what seemed like ages and it was noticed but was let through. :j So thankyou to my lovely SA for my bargain of the year. So chuffed. :)

Hope have not missed out thanking anyone for any new finds, have gone back quite a few pages but lots to do. Happy hunting to all.
  • There's definatly another MSEer in Cardiff. No Roses, mice or chilli nuts left in the western avenue store :( I did however get 2 doves, 2 fairies, 2 multi bags of chrisps and a bottle of Lenor all for 70p! It was my first time using coupons too (When you get to my age you don't get many 'firsts' left) So quite exciting!

The swear words weren't that bad dear to be honest (well I know there ain't good swear words :rotfl:), he's just heading off to another Tesco to buy the mouse for the computer before he goes to work. I've warned him about trespassing as he's got 6months ban. He needs to check into hospital he suffers from tescophilitis:rotfl:

Thought they would be 18p but the label said 9p! and they scanned at that.

Do they smell okay for wiping sticky hands ?

    By the way,
Whilst scouring the shelves and seeing the only 1p item in all the stores (2 trays of roses), a little voice behind me asks "Will you leave some of those for me?"
I turn around and ask the obvious question "Are you a friend of Martin's?". It turns out that I met bebebliss so after introducing myself as Jumblejack, I shared it with her (9 boxes each!).
Looks like I still have a few tricks left to learn.

 It was nice meeting you earlier bebebliss!

There was two deals that I could see. Both ran out yesterday. The SEL said free sausages with the bacon. No free sausages, so got DTD on the overcharge. Then a guy came up behind me, and bought 3 lots of gammon/bacon and should have had them for £10 rather than £12. Not a great deal on that one - but mine came through okay. Been to another store just now and I have 20 triple packs of bacon and 20 packs of sausages:o Total cost £24.

The CS girl said that they had 7000 changes overnight.
Ask me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies

what a clever name for a make up brand..."models own". because you always see in magazines, "t-shirt by gucci, pants by armani, earrings are models own". clever.
