    Hi all,
Do the koko chocs have to be the correct barcode, they had some at mine that looked the same but has a diff barcode.....?
Also at my tescos they had only 1 of the glasses with the 4 for £3 sticker on but loads with no stickers on. But did have a SEL saying 6 for £6, do you think I could get away with buying 4 eventhough only 1 has a sticker?
    Thanks x

Out and about in the supermarket this morning, turned the corner to see 'millions' of Thorntons moments, double checked them, long boxes - yep, heart at the top - yep, the barcode was correct - yahoo!!, the right ones - ran to grab a basket then realised I was in Asda!! Doh!!!! :rotfl:

:rotfl: but what a 'downer' :(:)

I was in Asda yesterday, and reached out to a clip strip thinking oooh haven't seen that before so its worth a scan!
just about to grab it when 'the brain' kicked in "you're in Asda" :o

least we both realised before we tried looking for the scanners! :) :rotfl:

Just had a bad experience at Watford Extra, until this morning id never tried looking for the 1p stuff but saw this thread yesterday so gave it a go..

I found the 1p boxes of Roses, went to self checkout, scanned them, was half way through paying then heard someone shouting at the top of there voice "STOP STOP STOP YOU CANT DO THAT" I turn around and there's a manager and a security guard coming over to me (half the store was staring at me) and im totally bewildered as to what the hells going on. This so called manager then went on to tell me that they cant sell items for 1p. I respond by saying why are they on the shelf then, he wouldn't answer..

Anyway he cancels the transaction. By this point im fuming not because he cancelled the sale but because of the way he spoke to me and embarrassed me infront of everyone leaving and coming into the store..

Could someone point me in the right direction of making a formal complaint.. I was made to feel like I was a shoplifter. dread to think of what other shoppers thought...

That's appalling, I hope they give you a good apology and a giftcard to make up for it, and perhaps a box of roses for goodwill :)

Looked for jugs in tesco bangor, north wales - all the jugs had measurements on so didn't bother price checking them.

I like looking for jugs, but the magistrate said I need to be more discrete!

thats appauling behaviour.i hope you pursue your complaint to the highest level.these little hitlers in tesco need knocking down a peg or two.just to add a little weight to your argument ask them to explain if they are not allowed to sell things for 1p why do they put yellow sels out with 1p on them as in this post below.she probly wanted them for herself was she a big lady i bet she was.
