Same shop as I use fairly frequently. The cartons there have been replenished several times- I usually take two or three and leave some for others. There were loads of the nuts initially, but after I posted on here they all vanished within 24 hours! By all means have a look at Manston, but I don't think you'll have much luck there; I've had a good rummage on several occasions to no avail- on the upside though, they do have a couple of price checkers, which makes life easier!

Another shopper at westwood cross too!!:j

I've never found any bargins at manston so I usually stick to westwood - i didn't know they still had price checkers left there... where are they in the store ?
I'll now be able to spot the other mse'ers at the price checkers hehehehehee

Stagg chilli not scanning at my local. tried the SS tills today but comes up item not found. shame - there's loads of it there! Tried about a week ago on manned till but didn't go through then either.
  • Hi

I went to Manston today armed with coupons and my last lonely little DTD voucher - had a good look for all the 1p items and found........ the caperberries!!:j They were on a shelf with the gherkins, olives etc tucked away in a corner almost hidden from view and with no price label on the shelf so you would have no idea of the price. I took 3 jars and there was still a whole tray left again. Put them through with a bit of other shopping and went through at 1p no problems.

Have just tried them and they are sort of a cross between an olive and a caper - would go very well with a selection of Italian antipasti - salamis, sliced meats, olives, carciofi (artichoke hearts) and peppers and sun dried tomatoes.

    Hope this helps!

They don't at WWX- there were three originally, but they all got taken out. There are 2/3 at Manston though.

Doh- I remember now, Manston was my first Caperberry find.

Also spotted yesterday sachets of (colemans, I think) curry sauce- pic on the front of chips with sauce over them. Yellow RTC label @ 17p- scanned at the same price. Worth watching.

Woohoo. I just popped into a different store to hunt and to buy the countrylife butters which are £1.3o in Ts but only 50p in As (will get difference refunded and I used 30p off vouchers for butter from discount thread!) and whilst looking in the bin for some wombles, I found a fiver!!!!!! Now that has NEVER happened before!!!!!

Actually, now I'm sitting here typing, I do believe I may be talking out of my backside. I may be confusing it with Dover/Folkestone/Whitstable. However, if you want to have a look, remember they're always on a pillar- and there's often one hidden away in the clothes section.

I'll have another proper look when I'm next over there!
