We have just got back from a trip to Wilkinsons in Livingston, it was bursting at the seams and a lot of the shelves were empty with staff filling them up as fast as they could. We also called at Ikea, I got one of the blue fleeces to line the door curtain into the boot room, I also got a pair of tab top curtains and a shower pole to hang curtains at the front window. We can shut the dining alcove off with the thermal lined curtains we have hung infront of it. I also got 10 birthday cards for £1 and two 2011 diaries 99p each from Card Factory.
I cooked fish and chips for supper, we were tired and very hungry. OH is out for tea tomorrow so the sausage will do for Thursday.
It has poured with rain all day, it cleared as we drove over to Livingston but as we came back it was raining and we have just had quite a bit of thunder, we needed it for the garden.....but its very dark and gloomy again now. Decided not to light the stove tonight its not quite so cold and the wind has dropped.
The creamish tab top curtains from Ikea are well long for the window and hang fine from the white extending shower curtain rail I got, I need to shorten them to just below the cill and there will be enough left over to make a curtain for the door which I can loop back during the day to let the light in., they look quite good with the cream blind behind them, the rail is well tightened to the wall so hopefully will not fall on OH's head when he is having his breakfast!!! I also bought 3 mts of calico at £1.59m, I need to wash and iron it, fine for backing wall hangings. Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -

I once bought a whole roll of their calico and made curtains for my sons house for every window - he had just bought it and had no money left over for frills- its really cheap and believe it or not they are still there 5 years later and they have washed well.Saving in my terramundi pot £2, £1 and 50p just for me! :j0 -
And......breathe!:DI feel like I could use a glass of wine but I've been on a self-imposed drinking ban for agesssss (ok it feels longer than 5 days :rotfl:) as I find my pain is worse on the days after i've had a drink but i'm sore anyway at the minutes so I feel like throwing all my 'spoons' (thank you lamewolf;)) at the twins and getting inebriated
however I probably won't as I can't be bothered to move and I've got the hump with DS1 (who is currently tidying the kitchen
) and dont want to let him get back in the good books already. It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your window

Well the caravan rally we were marshalling went swimmingly, and the weather was kind too. Just a little exhausted by being on the go all the time over the weekend. Found grapes and celery in my fridge today which were for the cheese and wine on Saturday night:o
Now I need your help fast, just had a phone call to say the one we are going to this weekend, has a 1940's themed evening on Saturday night, what can DH & I wear:eek::eek::D
OS wise, had 2 loads of washing done today and dried outside, it has been nice here, rained after 5pm when they were dry:D Food wise, it is use up, use up, use up:o

Hey All,
Its nice to come on here and read about everyone's ups and downs makes life a little less lonely when your stuck in sick most of the time.
Had a really bad day today, pain kicked off bad last night so was awake allllll night. Tried to sleep two or three times but laying in bed just ended up frustrating me and stressing me out so I gave up. Ended up getting a few hours at seven this morning and a couple more this afternoon, which doesn't bode well for tonight but we will see.
Made it to my support group, which was much needed and had coffee, cuddles and laughs which was definitely a real positive for today. Then nipped round to Tesco about 9.30pm, bit late as all they had left reduced to clear was some lettuce that was climbing out of the tray by itself and some chocolate eclairs (no good when you are lactose intolerant). Still picked up some beetroot and low fat soft cheese ready to make a delicious beetroot dip I found in my Philadelphia cookbook.
Anyway not a very old style day other than the use of my wheat bag, so I had better filling this up with rubbish for now.
Big Loves and Lots of Spoons all round
