Afternoon All
In from work soaking wet, let DD have the car today as the bus stop is at the side of a main road with no shelter (quite rural here) and felt sorry for her waiting there, so I walked home (she gave me a run in) and it was raining very hard! Still I have had a shower now and have my pjs on!! It is still showery but not particularly cold.
Put a load in the WM but that will have to go on the airers when it's done and will have omelette for tea with eggs from the chooks laid today.
Tru - hope you get some answers quickly for Mr Tru.
Lamewolf and JackieO - good luck with the hospital appts.
JackieG - You can do it!! Good luck, always easier when children are back in a routine.
Probably too late but Happy Birthday and safe journey Moiliere. Enjoy seeing your family.
Hugs and good wishes to everyone and sorry if I have missed anyone.

Mindee's mum gave me some old uniform bits that DS can use thereby saving me a small fortune on some extra pieces
It's his second day and his stuff is already grubby :rotfl:
Still not baked my cake - ended up gassing to my neighbour half way through my cleaning so had to finish things off in a rush

Happy Birthday Mioliere :bdaycake:
Thanks for the good wishes for mr tru
He can't be bothered to kick up a fuss for blood tests. I'm not giving myself a headache worrying about him, if he's not worried about himself. So I'm leaving him to it. Idiot  Have informed him that the life insurance is fully paid up.
We've just been to the farm and picked up a barrel, it's 3ft tall. So we now have half a smoker
We bought some perry vinegar too. We wanted cider vinegar but the bloke told us to try the perry, it's great for chutneys and pickles apparently. He charged us £5 for 2 litres :T Also told us he loves to barter and would have pretty much anything we grow and make :T Nipped to the local fuit and veg shop, he sells local eggs and veg as well as far-flung stuff, I'm hoping he'll have some our stuff next year.
Just pulled up a load of carrots and picked toms, runner beans and berlotti beans. So I must go now to wash and sort

Hi chums had a good day today, DGD Katie phoned and let me know she has landed another part-time job.She has been doing tour guide work in a pool of others which meant it wasn't regular and the season finishes in October. She had an interview with Iceland and has got a start with them with a guaranteed 7.5 hours plus any extra hours when its coming up to Christmas. She is at college locally, so she is chuffed and it appears that her tour-guiding customer skills had got her the job.
Happy birthday to Moiliere, hope you have a good trip, drive safe.
Went to Craft this afternoon and made some cards for Christmas, won't be long now. DD bought me a nice cd that she saw in Sainsburys as a treat. Just going to make myself some pasta for dinner.Have a good evening everyone

Oh, now you're all nice when everyone else is here!!!! She was threatening me by PM, you know!

Evening all
Happy birthday moilere, have a fab trip too!
jackieg - good luck for WW, I'm doing SW and loving it at the moment
lucylollipop - I'm starting a teacher training course this month! What age are you doing? I enrol tomorrow, I'm doing Post 16 Education cos I'm a youth worker already working with teens.
Tru - glad u enjoyed River Cottage! I'm still jealous....
Welshcamper - cwtch, that is my favourite word, I always forget that it's not a proper (English) word! I taught all the kids I worked with in America it!
Horrific weather here overnight and this morning. I had to pull the minibus over at one point cos I could not see beyond my bonnet . But it's glorious now. Busy day at work. We went to W Wales to our sister office, they have an old wooden boat outside which is a bit of a landmark, it needed re-varnishing so we did that today. Kids were a bit grumpy cos they had run out of fags and no-one was old enough to get served in shop! :rotfl: But they did good in the end.
Went to gym after work, 2nd day in a row! Just had some leftovers for dinner cos I was starved but may make something else later. I stopped at the egg honesty box stand on way home from work,
one of the benefits of working in the remote office is that I pass by it daily! I only had a pound so only got 6 eggs. But they are always yummy.
OS wise - I should clean and tidy but I'm knackered so I won't
.
I need to find some paperwork ready for tomorrow when I enrol at uni!
Have a good evening all

I had an image of you in a big floppy Easter hat then
Evening All
Today has gone soooooo slowly - think it was coz I was doing filing and its boring and I hate it
still i was getting paid so cant grumble. Kids had pack ups today and I took the last portion of the bacon and leek lasagne I made (must make another it was Lush!!) with some easiyo strawberry yoghurt - also very nice.
Dinner was provided courtesy of a MS and as it was 2 for 1 today it acually only cost me 1.99 to feed all seven of us.
Twins are in the dog house (thought they'd been good for too long) one apologised and the other one (who was actually in the wrong) threw his usual 'woo is meeeeee nobody loves me'/deflection strop so I told him to wise up and shut his mush
Bitsy that's another one for the parenting book
I feel like I could use a glass of wine but I've been on a self-imposed drinking ban for agesssss (ok it feels longer than 5 days :rotfl:) as I find my pain is worse on the days after i've had a drink but i'm sore anyway at the minutes so I feel like throwing all my 'spoons' (thank you lamewolf;)) at the twins and getting inebriated
however I probably won't as I can't be bothered to move and I've got the hump with DS1 (who is currently tidying the kitchen
) and dont want to let him get back in the good books already.
Rant over. As you were
