Lets get summat straight, the whole idea of being a moneysaver is to exploit every chance you get to save money or even to make a few bob.

Maybe you thought this was the chirstian branch or something? (no offence to christians and was generally just pointing out that they are a giving people)

And perhaps you thought this was the MoneyMakingExpert forums?

There is a lot of greed and boasting how many people get of an item on this forum, when they do other people on here do lose out.

I have more respect for a lurker, who won't even post a thanks, but just grabs one for themselves.
  • point taken and well said.

Just to put things in the right concept.

During this month, my first month in hanging around "quick grabbit" and to be honest only really the last 3 weeks...
    A mobile phone
    Several books
    Kids annuals
    Selection Boxes
    Some beef
A stereo and some paper for less than 8 quid delivered.
About 250 quids worth of toys for 50 quid.
And I am taking my girlfriend on a free cruise in November.
and not forgetting the jewel in my crown, Pot Noodles 3 for a quid!

It is also worth adding, since buying the book and reading the newsletters and main site, I have saved a fortune on bills and such and to be honest I am a lot wealthier now purely because I am good at not spending my money.

Now looking back, I see no 360 or console but I see a lot of good stuff. I do agree with you to a slight extent that it would be nicer (for me especially) if people did not try to get the same deal over and over again.

The question is, who decided who gets what? Or is it first come first served? Do I hand back my savings because I have too many by someone elses yard stick? Do I try for more because it is not yet enough? Do I go for just one console or do I try to get my kids one each? How much do I try for when I haggle before I start to feel guilty about making more out the deal than the shop keeper?

    Who decides?
    Not you me thinks ;)
And perhaps you thought this was the MoneyMakingExpert forums?
Moneymaking and Moneysaving are both routes to improve you presonal wealth. You should maximise both if you want to be really wealthy, but isn't it right that part of being a moneysaver is knowing a good deal from a bad one, and knowing a profitable one just as well and making the most out of a good deal?

What people do with their money is their business. I am not some moral cursade, nor am to make it a Communist country, all things being even :)

It is the gloating that goes on here sometimes which makes me sick. Those who grab every --INSERT BARGAIN HERE-- the shop has, then boasts screaming how much they will make on ebay. Usually they are the same type who notices a misprice online, then orders 100's, which then of course alerts the retailer, who promptly cancels everyones order.
