but its only in 18 branches, girl tried to still get HQ to agree, they wouldnt.

You've clearly missed the point. 1 person doesn't need more than 1 Xbox. Some people might like to have one to play on, and not simply sell on to elsewhere.

As mentioned elsewhere, this board is a community where info is shared. Those that exploit that info too selfishly don't deserve to benefit at all.

I arrived in Leeds store at 915 so wasnt expecting xbox but there were no LOTR or Godfather box sets either. Guy said there had been 150 people queueng from last night 11pm one even had car parked outside store!! All went within 2 mins of opening. They had some philips dvd players for £19 and Sony DVD player for £29+ various mp3 players (Zen nano 256mb £29.99, 512mb £39.99)

In what sense is McDonag "exploiting" this community?? He (or she) has simply gone to the effort of trawling different Tesco stores to get R&R on games consoles. EVERYONE else who reads this forum could do likewise, with exactly the same result.
If McDonag had NOT done this it would not, in any way, have meant other people would get XBoxes or PSPs.
For all I know McDonag may have 8 or 9 incredibly happy nieces and nephews, or may simply get a shedload of cash off Ebay. Either way I don't care, because anyone else could have done exactly the same if they'd wanted to.

Surely he was lying to you? Even if they didn't know how many xbox's were for sale surely 130 of them must have known that there was no chance of getting an xbox.

The queue at the Edinburgh branch was tiny by comparison. I queued from 7am and there were about 10 people in front of me. I reckon had I gone there half an hour earlier I would have got one.

Lets get summat straight, the whole idea of being a moneysaver is to exploit every chance you get to save money or even to make a few bob.

Maybe you thought this was the chirstian branch or something? (no offence to christians and was generally just pointing out that they are a giving people)
