Virgin Stores Sale, Xbox 360 at £99 plus other good deals (merged)

Got to the Nottingham store at 6.25am, was 9th in the queue. The guys who were 4th and 5th had been there since 5.40! 5 xboxes, surprisingly nobody in front of me DIDN'T want one. Picked up the 4 boxsets mentioned above, not bad for a fiver apiece.

I was going to run to my local store now, only 5 mins down the road. I dunno if people here would of hear about it.

tried calling, no one answered.

I called my local again and they repeated they don't have any in stock and that was just before 8am.

Well,

I was at the Edinburgh store at 7am this morning but found myself behind a queue of about 10 people. I waited for an hour and they came out and handed out vouchers for the 5 xbox's. Some of the people queuing didn't want the xbox but I was it was enough to bumb me up from 10th to 5th. Myself and a kid and his mum missed out. I felt really sorry for the wee kid who was crying his eyes out.

Still, I got the Lord of the Rings extended trilogy, Band of Brothers, and the God Father Collection for £5 each which at least justified my hour wait. Still, very disappointed but I should have been there earlier.

well i went to the Oxford store today and they didnt have a clue, they had the boxes on the shelf for £239.99 and when I asked did they have some earlier they said no, they hadnt heard of the offer, and this branch is huge!

I would complain to HO stating you were there early and none were offered

I went and tried my local store, not for the XBOX 360, but for the DVD Boxset offers, and wasted my time totally....nothing, probably too late now to go into Birmingham to see if they have any deals. If anyone is thinking of getting Boxsets for a fiver in a Virgin that isnt listed in this thread, forget it! must only be in the early sale.

£24.99 LOTR Boxset, same for Pink Panther.
