As part of their sale starting on the 28th September, Virgin are flogging off the limited edition Xbox 360 World Cup Core packs for £99. From what I've heard, there will be 5 per store with the doors opening at 8:30am. Apparently, this will only be in the bigger Virgin stores. It's an Earlybird offer, so first come first served. The package includes a custom faceplate and a copy of EA SPORTS 2006 FIFA World Cup, plus for a limited time an Xbox football ball. You can pick up an official Xbox 360 HDD for £59 from PC World (with free England faceplate), which means you have have the full works console for £158!
Also included in the sale are the following:
Godfather boxset £5
Lord of the Rings Extended Trilogy £5
Pink Panther boxset £5
Feeder 'the singles' £5
Kooks album £5
Obviously, there will be more stuff there too.

It's most likely an abuse of Tesco's refund and give you the goods policy whereby if the price on the shelf is different (AFAIK in the policy it is *LESS*) than the price you pay at the till, you pop off to customer services and get a refund and you get to keep the goods.0 -
