Most of these Virgin XBoxes will no doubt be nabbed by the staff ASAP on Friday, so I for one will not be bothering. More likely I will just go and abuse Tesco by asking them to abide by their nationally advertised mis-selling USP.

I would imagine tesco's will be up on this and prepared. You may prove me wrong however, but I don't see Tesco's not keeping to an advertised price after realising their mistake and dishing out free xbox 360's day in day out.

And it *is* an abuse of a policy. The policy is for customers who see a price and want the item at that price. That item may go through with other items and the customer may not notice a missprice (while they pack their carrier bags) until they look over the receipt in detail. If you go to Tescos and buy an Xbox with a particular game armed with an advert, with the intention of getting it free, you did not intend to purchase the items in the first place (at the advertised price) so you are abusing the policy. Yes this is Tesco's policy and it is in your favour. I say to those who abuse it (and get away with it) good on you ;)

Does anyone know what the returns policy is?

ie. If I go and buy one and they have amended it and I couldn't get it free, can I just return it to the shop?

Tesco make £2 million a day profit at least, I doubt this affects them that much... ;)

Would love to try this but think it is taking the P a little...

I just called my local store which is Romford to ask about this deal and was told that they are not selling them at £99 but £199 and they didn't have any in stock anyway.I called them as i can't get there tomorrow morning to see if i can get one which is needed for a birthday present.I was hoping they'd sell me one over the phone just before closing tonight for me to pick up tomorrow afternoon;)

They're definitely priced up at £99 in leeds store as an early bird offer. Also noticed some film boxsets for £5 each.
