It says that you have tried all the rescues in the South east, but this is the first I have heard of this dog.
It is true however, that many rescues will refuse a dog if it has Staffie in it. Shame as they are a lovely breed, but people tend not to want to rehome them due to ridiculous media hype. Hence you get a long stayer dog that holds a kennel for many other easier to home breeds. Alot of rescues need a constant turn around and prefer homing figures to show this. We don't work that way.
Re the neutering comment...dogs are far happier and healthier if neutered. Pyometra's and testicular cancer is very common and being that there are far too many dogs unwanted in this country already, anybody breeding their dog at this moment in time is irresponsible. If this offends then so be it, but try being faced with numerous pound lists from across the country everyday, knowing that most of the dogs you are looking at will die and then tell me that more dogs are needed! Anyway, that is another subject, so I won't bleat on about that.
Firstly, trying to home a dog with a Prolapse will be impossible. I am surprised that she has not got Perotinitus as her womb is very open to infection. She has been a lucky girl.
The only way forward with this dog is a rescue placement which I will work on today. Its a bit early to start phoning around at the moment, but it is vital that this dog is accepted into a good non-destruct rescue (the only ones that I work with) and is spayed asap. This has gone on far too long.
If all else fails then I would ask that she is dropped at my own vets where they will spay her and sort her problem. From there she can come into this rescue. You say that her manners out on a walk is good with other dogs so she can trial at my place with my own dogs otherwise there is a kennel option which I prefer not as dogs cannot be properly assessed in a kennel in my opinion.
We operate a backup for life policy here and so she will never be in this disastroud situation again.
xoxo - Please email me your phone number and area of Essex you live in and I can try and sort this asap.
Thanks!

Hmmm...lets see.
All dogs are neutered when they arrive here. We have a happy home with sociable dogs, plenty of playtime, very very few scraps and little need to ever crate a dog.
Now, lets throw an entire male into the mix of dogs that obviously never come in season...
We have a dog weeing up the walls due to having to mark their territory constantly, consistant mounting of other dogs causing fights and negative feelings amongst the pack, male entire dogs feeling the need to stand over other permanent residents which, once again causes fights, the need to stay onlead whilst out walking as entire males just run off and try to mount other dogs that are out on walks. And of course because all of this is happening I end up with an exhausted, slobbering and highly stressed unneutered male.
Lets get the balls off...within 48 hours we have a calm household again. Marking territory has stopped, less dominant actions towards other dogs and within a week have settled into the correct pack place, easier to train due to being more focussed and mounting is rare.
This is not a one off example. It has been the same over and over and over again for the last 10 years.
Yes...neutered dogs are happier and there does not have to be a !!!!! in season around for them to get fruity.
Coupled with male dogs being very prone to testicular cancer that then spreads quickly, I would much rather eliminate the chances of this happening and lengthen my dogs life than watch it die from lung cancer that has spread over from the testicles. Although I HAVE had to watch that when (as just one example from many) a Jack Russell arrived here at just 8 years old who this had happened to. Not MY fault, but something I had to watch until his quality of life became too bad for him to carry on. 6 weeks is all he got from the time he got here when a tiny lump was discovered and a month and a half later he was dead after fighting us every step of the way. This dog did not want to die so young.
But if you are prepared to risk it then go ahead. Don't say I didn't warn you...but just to confirm, watching a dog die that could easily have lived if he had just been neutered when he was younger is heartbreaking. He didn't have cancer of anything else, so if his testicles were gone then he would probably still be with us now.

Just realised that !!!!! in season was censored...LOL Never thought about that! Hehe! I shall say female dog in season from now on!

thanks emma, i'm going to show my son your post , he has a rottweiller who he wont have neutered, he says because it will 'change his personality' !!!!!!? the dog is so boisterous he nearly pulled my arm out of its socket once, he would be so much calmer if he had him done
sorry didnt mean to hijack the thread, i really hope the doggie gets sorted out soon0 -
Do I need to say why female dogs are happier spayed? Are there doubters out there for them too??? Do I need to use examples of entire !!!!!es that have arrived here in agony due to Pyometra's with poison dripping out of them? Or shall I just leave it now???

I have only noticed male dogs become calmer and more loving when castrated and I have had hundreds snipped here over time.
You need to lay it down on the line with your son...if he loves his dog he needs to give him the kindest snip. The operation takes about 10 minutes. Better than 6 weeks of suffering slowly and having to watch the dog slowly lose the ability to breathe.

Sorry! It is something I feel very strongly about. I have seen so much suffering throughout the years caused by owners not going ahead and booking their animals in for a routine and very easy operation. Because...when they get sick they hand them to me. I have to stay with them as the die on the table. The owners have probably got a new puppy by that stage
