Think I will go for the HTC Desire... however I NEED to be able to use the wifi thing on my phone, I've got so used to having it on my nokia there's no way I can do without it, especially when I travel abroad, if it doesn't come with it is it difficult to set up??0

What do you mean by "the wifi thing"????0

Oh i'm such a technophobe... On the Nokia 5800 I can connect to wireless internet when I am in a wifi zone (I think I've said that right?) can I do this with the HTC Desire?0

Yes most definately... you will probably find it 100 x easier too... my girlfriend had the 5800 and hated it. She now has the Desire and loves it...
Most decent modern phones have wi-fi on.
I can't think of a single thing that the 5800 could do that the Desire can't but I can think of a lot the other way around....0 -
iPhone 4 is by far the best phone in the Market, don't listen to the seethers who say about reception problems etc. It has rarely happened to me and the things this phone does compared to any other phone I've had is amazing. Also the speed off the Internet etc it's much better than many laptops.0

not true, the HD2 is windows... although its a pocket pc, rather than a 'smartphone'.Be careful with the i phone,an issue not widely reported, but it is when googled. An issue of contacts being lost whilst trying to back up.
A friend of mine came to the end of his contract and found the only way to back up his contacts was to sync them with i tunes.
He thought they had backed up,but in reality he lost the lot.
i would not recommend the iphone.
HTC uses Android a far better operating system many of the apps are free as well.
To say such things, u really need to elaborate!!!iPhone 4 is by far the best phone in the Market,0 -
I've seen remoured that we could soon have a Desire HD in the UK which will essentially be the Evo for the 3G network.0

Not had either of the others but had an iPhone 4 since launch and had no problems with signal (with or without a case) and zero problems with losing stuff whilst backing up. Did have the proximity sensor issue, took my phone to the apple shop, they replaced it without question and it's not happened since.Sigless0

1. "The best phone in the market" to one person may not be the best phone in the market to another since people have different requirements.
2. Have you ever owned (not just played with in a shop) a Desire or a Galaxy to make a true comparison.
3. For me, the reception issues aside (which is still a big downfall despite your playing it down) the Android OS has a lot more options for customisation than the iPhone and that alone makes it a winner in my book. Plus the much lower cost, plus how open Android is compared to iPhone.... cr.a.p I didn't want this to turn into an Android v iPhone debate....
