many years ago, my mum bought a toaster on xmas eve. we had to go out and find a shop open on boxing day (that will tell you how many years ago) to buy more bread. as we'd eaten the 3 breads mum had bought

    Buttons,

What about some kind of hand held games console v-tech or Leapfrog ?

Sorry have no idea of budget and you seem to have all other toy options covered.
  • Bl00dy hell it is freezing in this house!!

Has anybody bought some cute hat and gloves sets this year? I bought Benjamin a lovely orange coat from gap and I am looking for a nice set of brown (I think) hat scarf and gloves.

Buttons - how about a bean bag? I LOVED it when my parents bought me one for christmas!!

...although that was the year that they woke me up getting all the christmas presents out of the loft :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

She has a Vtech learning console thing that she never plays with.....

    and a DS.......

    and games for the PS3...

Do you think she is spoiled? Im away to gut out her room this week and throw stuff out she doesn't play with. I'll make a list and put it up here though and see if anyone wants it. I reckon I'm lobbing the Vtech thing....though when she sees it she will sit and play the Dora game for about 10minutes then proclaim it;s her fave toy ever.......

I need to organise her room with clear boxes for under the bed storage, and that way one day I can take the farm out, then the train another time, then set up the paints for her easel etc, otherwise she just hauls everything out and you can't find all the bits for stuff

A beanbag is a good idea MFD, but my flat is very small, and she already has an ikea chair, plus a stool plus 2 chairs that come from her desk, plus idris has a big leather beanbag. I can't get anything "bulky" this year, unless I throw out the kitchen, but then I don't want to do that as she still plays with it, but not often *roll eyes* She has way too much.

Lol I would if my interal guilt clock wouldn't make me self destruct lol! I have her an ice cream maker and Bullseye and Jessie pack, I'm going to get her a new card set for snap, new paints, new games (though she has lost 5 of the balls for hungry hippos already GRRRRRRR) Probably get her the Mr and Mrs Potato head and Rex from Toy story too as she does like those things, and making up pretend scenarios.

You're right though its an utter nightmare, must be harder for you though since you have 5 to think off! I think my head would combust (plus the expense ) I usually only spend about £100 on her tho, and the ice cream maker cost me £7 and the bullseye and Jessie cost me £8, instead of £25 and £29 - so bargains!

perfect! we arent buying the little 2 big presents just a few small things, but its hard as we still have things from Abi that C and E play with? and the older they get the smaller the package and more money it costs lol!

One thing i do though is a movie box, i get a HUGE box and fill it up with sweets, juice, crisps, popcorn and lots of films and cinema tickets! it gives you a few hours peace and the kids love it!

    Hello:)

Just had a quickie catch up read and wanted to say big hugs to cafc:A I actually had a phone call this afternoon about baby massage classes and we're starting them in November. I asked if DH could go and the lady said they really encourage dads to go which is great. If someone isn't happy with A MAN being there then THEY can bugger off!!

It all reminds me of a friends hubby. He wouldn't change his baby's nappy at first because she was a girl and felt uncomfortable!!!:rotfl:

I've been feeling really yuck with a stupid cold:( Bit better now.

    Hugs, congrats etc where needed:)
