:rotfl: Husband and Molly have gone to Gymboree for free playtime. I have done dishes, sorted her too-small clothes and put them away, cleaned the kitchen, got two sets of directions for tomorrow's errands, finished my email catchup, done some work on my paper, made a phone order with Vertbaudet (apparently there are known problems with that code; they're putting them through manually and someone will call to confirm payment later) and taken a shower. I'd havee vacuumed but I can't get the mattress attachment off it and I'm not doing the whole flat with Midget Vacuum Head. He's going to come home and ask me how my relaxing quiet time was :rotfl:

Morning. I keep meaning to ask how is DS1 getting on?[/QUOTE]

He is ok thankyou, working, using the place as a hotel, a lot happier and more upbeat in himself though.

hi all, shockingly behind the times on the thread as ever, but wondered if the following wording might be of use to you cafcgirl.

Dear (director of organisation running baby massage lessons),

I am writing to express my concern about an incident of sexual discrimination on (date) at (place) with (name).

I mentioned to (name of group leader), that I wanted my husband to attend the baby massage class. Another parent commented that she would not like to have a male parent present while her child is naked, due to the possibility of sexual molestation of her child. Your representative colluded with this view, and further, it was not immediately made abundantly clear that fathers were not to be discriminated against in their use of your services to parents.

It is clear that your organisation would not allow a parent to be excluded from or made to feel uncomfortable about their uptake of your services due to their ethnicity or sexuality, and therefore I am saddened and dismayed for your organisation that this sexual discrimination is evident. I am sure you are similarly dismayed.

I urge you to look into this with your staff members at your earliest convenience.

CAFC. I have just read back on last nights post. And I too join in on the  at that total bunch of biatches.

Daddies were actively encouraged to come along to Baby massage here, a couple came and watched and one actually joined in. He was quite yummy though and it was all nudge, nugdge, and sideways glancing at the niiiiice bloke massaging his little baba. At no point did any of those disgustings comments made by those utter hatred cows even come into my mind.

I really hope you are currently drafting your letter of complaint.

MFD, I second Sami's suggestions: Julia Donaldson / Axel Scheffler books are fab. Monkey Puzzle was always Joe's favourite.

Happy Birthday Krystal and nice to see you Wilma.:D
  • Awesome response Weezl :T!

I would personally add that I look forward to hearing what action has been taken to ensure that this is not repeated, as I would want a response, but depends whether you do or not CAFC?

My cousin's wife has just had her baby, 4 days late and 7lb 6oz. Little boy called Oscar (but we already knew that part). For those of you who know me in RL/are FB friends and are worried about name induced child cruelty, they don't have the same surname as me ;).
