Ugh, first post of the morning is an unhappy and unwanted position :p. DH had to get up at butt crack of dawn for some all day assessment thingee, so I was left with the unhappy job of getting up with our 6am riser. I've become so spoilt! It's a cruel fate that babies have the most energy this time of morning when their parents have the least. :p

House is in majorly tip-like state, so a blitz is definitely in order today, along with some baking. Just been sooooo lazy lately, things shouldn't have been allowed to get like this :o.

    Morning

Got a really sore throat and a stuffy nose again - grrr!

Off to Newcastle for work this morning and going to look in the running shop for some new trainers. I started boot camp with some cheapo £15 trainers, but the soles are worn and the insides have collapsed and I'm getting pain in my feet when I run.

Been reading up about feet and trainers. When you run your foot is supposed to roll slightly inwards. However I've got high arches. When I make footprints, there's no middle bit - just a ball and a heel! Due to the shape of my arches, my foot rolls outwards so I need trainers with padding round the outsides to keep my foot in the right place. If you have low arches, your foot rolls in too much and you need trainers with padding round the insides. Probably bored everyone to death now, but I thought it was interesting!

Hope everyone has a good day xx
Here I go again on my own....

I highly recommend going to a specialist running shop and getting them to analyse your gait then recommend some trainers to you. It made such a difference to me, and it helps you ankles and knees, as well as your feet. I over-pronate (roll too much) so my running shoes look like proper orthopedic shoes! Not glamourour but so comfy!

I didn't know that GISI and Becles, but then I would rather stand in the cold for half an hour than actually run for so much as a bus :o It hurts my knees.

:( Aless and Kindof for bad nights.

I must have caught Becles's stuffy nose and sore throat and then with barely any sleep it's all a bit uncomfortable. Still, I'm going to finish my tea, take a shower and spend some time in the office.

Edit: actually, it turns out that I've actually done what I was going to the office to do so a home-office day for me :j

on a tues when i drop off K at nursery, there is a little girl who always gets upset when her mum leaves the room, Kian looks at her as if to say 'what are you crying for?' then gives me the bottom lip pouting pretending he is upset. the only time he seems bothered is when i pick him up lol!!

running shoes- my brother has to have special in-soles for his trainers

he set his 'foot dr' said that everyone should get trainers measured and fitted correctly as the wrong ones will cause more problems than anything

trying to get Kian to eat some wholemeal bread, the one i have bought is an irish brown bread, which is more crumbly than a sliced pan so he's not impressed and lets it drop from his moith when he's chewd it. he's having some cheerios now instead

Lol, I didn't have a bad night, SS! I was just moaning that I had early-morning-baby-duty, but was just me being a whinge. Actually, it's kinda nice that it's only just before 9 and I've already done all my internet bits, so when Finn goes down in a few minutes I can actually get some housework done, woohoo! It's too soon to hear about yesterday's interview, so I shall try and distract myself by making the house look slightly less like a students' flat after exam week :p.
