Marks and Spencer rang back this afternoon. They couldn't ring earlier because a cat with a brown nose ate all the fruit and all the people were getting cross because they could only buy vegetables. They've sorted out the icing and they're going to give it to Mark tomorrow. He can't get it this evening as he's going to play football now it's not raining.

Still no idea what she is talking about :rotfl:

Bless her. She's got such a fab imagination. And totally LOLed at Mark!

Welcome back Kindof! Glad you had a great time. I'm probably a rubbish person to do a catch up but all I can remember is-

-Elle's Rhys is having an eye op in Jan/Feb next year
-JAM has a lovely nappy pic on FB that needs votes (Like Little Green Earthlets then it's the pic we've all commented on)
    -Molly took steps
-Charlotte had issues with Marks and Spencer
-Tia's Chris is doing amazingly at school
    -Sami's Chris was poorly
-Caz's Charlie has hand, foot and mouth so Caz and R-mac's meet is postponed
-3 found her keys, and her OH is signed off at work
    -Gill is on her holibobs
    -Em baked a giant cupcake

Ummmm, can't remember anything else. I've probably remembered the random stuff and forgotten the bigger stuff.

Ooh, I came on to ask whether anyone has used this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HG-Mould-Spray-500ml-Cleaning-Products-/250694063534?pt=UK_HomeGarden_CLV_Cleaning_CA&hash=item3a5e87d5ae#ht_707wt_704. Our shower is pretty manky and this has amazing reviews online. I might have to try it.

    That's not a bad list!!

Haven't tried that spray but do let me know if it works. at the price inc delivery but I have black mould under the sealant around the bath and I've tried scrubbing with bleach and a toothbrush but can't shift it. It appeared after we'd been away at MIL's for a week :(. Also have some green slime ( _pale_ ) inside the lip bit at the bottom of the shower screen which I am going to attempt to remove tomorrow - just hope it will come off so I can get to the inside (and then back on again)

See I told you all I needed to join Flylady - my house is such a mess!

MDW thanks for the inspitation, I just dashed off to put brownies in the oven! I was sat here thinking I wanted a pudding and was considering apple crumble but decided a warm gooey brownie would be better. New recipe from Hummingbird bakery cookbook (only slightly amended!) so should be good.

Forgot what else I wanted to say now as I caught up before I did the brownies.

Oh yeah - well done Chris and yey for Wee James :D
  • hi all, just popping in to say hi. Sorry not been on lately, still been hectic, Toby still not 100% following the salmonella and has been waking lots... And now we think he has hand foot and mouth. Its going round his nursery and he has a blister like spot on him today and I've got one too. hope he is better soon, although he does seem a lot happier in himself today which is good. Hope everyone is well xx

  • Poor Toby! That is horrid and I hope he is better soon. How's work going?

SJ- that's not the cheapest seller, I just linked to the first one that came up. You can get it on eBay for £5.89 delivered, but I'm hoping to but some in Robert Dyas tomorrow in town. I'll post my review when I've tried it.

Hi everyone .. I was just lurking and reading .. but decided I needed to post .. as much as I agree that smears are mainly to detect virus caused cancer .. I had very aggressive pre cancer cells removed the year before I had Dylan that were not related to any form of STD. If I hadnt of had my smear .. I was told the rate of growth would have been full cervical cancer in less than 6 months and I would have had to have had a full hysterectomy and who knows what else. A smear allowed me to have Dylan .. have all my lady parts .... and be alive.
did have a very rare form of cells removed, but I was one of the ''rare'' cases .. so it can happen :o sorry

Caz, poor Charlie! He gets everything hoing doesn't he? Hope it doesn't spread to the rest of them. And when will he be recovered so we mett up (and I can buy your loola) :D R.Mac coming too? Anyone else from up our way? (antibac at the ready) I'm free any day except the 13th (Uni open day).

I have forgoten what else I was going to say but I did read. Yay wee james!!!! Getting home soon!

I've had a good day, my new car is awesome and dead lazy :D

Chris is doing well at school and is officially 5 years old! His consultant appointment went well, apart from some specific learning disabilities, his speech and problems (moderate behavoural issues, napies at night, occasional soiling, dressing) his global development is now that of a 5 year old!!! Matching his age!!!

And the school have said that he will be integrated with the mainstream class. Doesn't mean he will move in the next few years, but by the end of primary school he should be in a mainstream class with minimal support. And his SALT has agreed that his speech is improving :D

Now, I have some very pretty ribbon that arrived so I'm making tutus :D Just because I am enjoying it :D

    YEAH :T:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:T:T

SSSoooooooo happy for you and Christopher .. that is the best news I have heard in a while :D

I don't see you as a disorganised person. In fact if I was asked on the spot who the most organised person I know is, I might well say you!

I, on the other hand, am very disorganised and quite like a list of exactly what I need to do, step by step, thought of by someone else, that I can just follow!

 Thank you. As a person I am very organised. This apartment, however, is an unmitigated disaster and between Molly's and Husband's efforts to maintain the chaos I am barely keeping it at "probably not going to be condemned if I bat my eyelashes".

It will all become easier once I have time.

Hello, I'm kinda keeping up with the thread but don't post as I'm usually reading on my ipod touch and it's not great for writing. Plus being back at work is keeping me really busy and I haven't been given my own desk back so I can't secretly read on her as my monitor faces into the room now :o

Going back to work has had it's ups and downs. After the settling in sessions Erin got a cold and was teething so it wasn't the best start for her but she has taken to it really well. Actually the whole nursery thing has gone way better than I expected. Just before she went back I would occasionally manage one feed between 8 and 6 but more often than not it was more than that and I was still feeding her to sleep so I was quite worried but we have both managed fine and she usually sleeps 45mins while there which is what she gets when at home :) With the cold and teething she was a bit upset but now that has gone and she's been much better, she gave me a big smile when I picked her up today. And even after all that attachment parenting I'm actually finding leaving her really easy and have enjoyed being back at work and having my own space again. We're continuing all the co-sleeping and breastfeeding and slinging when together and haven't had any problems with that.

Still no relations with OH and he's done a few things recently that have made my very angry but I'm trying to overlook them as generally he's wonderful.

Been meaning to share this with you all for a while now, I made it myself, even though I don't have a sewing machine! It's a nappy bag
