I'm a bit annoyed with an ebay seller. I bought a pair of boots on 16th September, delivery said 6-9 working days which would've been 26th-29th Sept. I actually thought that the seller had over-estimated and they would be here early. Anyway, I sent a message on 27th asking if they had been posted. No reply so sent another on 28th. The seller replied and said they had been posted, and that they were 'trying to locate them within royal mail', and to let her know if I hadn't received them by today. I sent her a message at around 1pm (our postie has always been by then) informing her that they hadn't arrived. I've STILL had no reply. She has other items for sale and seems to receive feedback regularly, which is positive. What should I do? I was thinking of waiting until tomorrow and sending her another message, then reporting item not received if still no reply?
I'd probably wait till Monday before sending another message but definitely put in a claim after that if she doesn't refund and it hasn't turned up. I always send eBay things recorded delivery so that if something doesn't turn up I can provide a tracking number - I presume if she has done that then you would have to claim from Royal Mail for the item going missing.

I think I'm frustrated because I seem to be constantly run ragged trying to keep the house in order, do a full time job, take care of the baby and maintain a social life (because it's important to me),

SS I feel run ragged and I don't have the full time job or social life :o to worry about!

I love my Wednesdays when V is with MIL. Even if she does come back high on Haribo! I need & love being on my own occasionally, and if it wasn't for Wednesdays, I would never be on my own. In fact, It p's me off when OH's day off is a Wednesday. (I don't mind when he's on a late on a Wednesday! :p Cos at least I still get a few hours on my own!)

We have loads in our house and they really freak me out. I've ordered some citronella oil to make up a detering solution :D

We have the most massive, hairy legged spiders in this house. But i'm brave now, I ignore them....unless they're in my bedroom.

SS, DH annoys me when he finally comes up to bed because he HAS to put the light on (I can see enough in the dark to go to bed), he can't get into bed quietly and doesn't seem to bother whether C wakes up - because HE doesn't have to settle her back down.

OH came in from work at half 4 this morning. When I spoke to him this afternoon, he told me he came in at half 4. I told him I knew, in my annoyed voice, and he said he thought he'd came in quietly.

It sounded like he bounced through the front door, then closed it with a hammer. Pogo'd into the bathroom, did a really loud wee, flushed, taps, door again. Went into the kitchen, filled the kettle loudly, put kettle on, bounced cups around for a while, etc etc.

Then at half five we woke up again when he bounced up the stairs, quietly  climbed over the stairgate, fell into our room and slammed the door behind him, stripped off, fell into bed and farted.

I really need to get used to these shifts. :(

I hate flys to. In my old flat i once pulled up the kitchen blind and there was about 30 of them and they were massive!

Infact all insects creep me out.
It's mainly flies that I don't like. Alice doesn't like flies that buzz but she doesn't mind other ones like daddy long legs which I find really creepy. Apart from wasps (and slugs but they never come in the house) I try to say to Alice, "Ooh look there's a [name of insect], come and see the [name of insect], do you like the [name of insect]?" and she always says yes. The other day I was trying to catch an annoying fly and she said, "You have to live with flies Mummy." because that's what OH tells her when she's complaining about them.

Do we share an OH? That will be mine tonight. We're four years into shifts and I'm not really used to it, but then again when he was on a course for three weeks earlier this year it drove me mad having him around every evening and weekend!

I don't mind spiders - they get rid of the flies and I don't like flies.

I now tolerate spiders because they get rid of the horrible, waste of space flies.

I was wondering if you were about and how you manage with shifts! It must be really hard when you're working too.

When he's doing lates, I quite like doing the evenings on my own and seeing him when he gets in just after 10.
Normal days are ok because that's what we're used too with his old job.
Last weekend was a bit rubbish because he was working 7-5 Saturday and Sunday - so I felt a little bit on my own with three children :(, but he was here for bedtime and to eat with me.
This weekend he's on nights, so will sleep for most of the day. So I've seen him for about 2 hours today, same tomorrow, then i'll see him when he gets up on Sunday.

Also, with him not working Mon-Fri 9-5 like he used too, I usually have no idea what day it is!

Aww hugs SS. You nearly described my life, only difference being that mine is devoid of a social life. Oh but wait OH thinks that my going to Asda is time to myself. A5s. And also ditto to what caz said.

I have no social life, but do have a lovely new pair of boots bought during my "night out" in Asda. I needed them, it was part of my self prescribed retail therapy. :p

    No news from Beenie?

lol at social life! DH thinks me going to a toddler group or friends house with a little one is my socialising! He equates that to him being able to go out on a Friday night - but, like I point out to him - HIS social life doesn't involve at least one of the kids!

    Ooh, are you me?

I almost had a social life last weekend, but all of my RL friends are [STRIKE]rubbish[/STRIKE] busy with their real lives.

Did the boots happen to be beautiful black leather, knee high, flat, zip up with straps around the ankle bit, for £36?

If it was, they're cheeky beggars, a pair of them fell into my trolley on Wednesday. :o
