It's mainly flies that I don't like. Alice doesn't like flies that buzz but she doesn't mind other ones like daddy long legs which I find really creepy. Apart from wasps (and slugs but they never come in the house) I try to say to Alice, "Ooh look there's a [name of insect], come and see the [name of insect], do you like the [name of insect]?" and she always says yes. The other day I was trying to catch an annoying fly and she said, "You have to live with flies Mummy." because that's what OH tells her when she's complaining about them.

I really need to get used to these shifts.

Do we share an OH? That will be mine tonight. We're four years into shifts and I'm not really used to it, but then again when he was on a course for three weeks earlier this year it drove me mad having him around every evening and weekend!

I was wondering if you were about and how you manage with shifts! It must be really hard when you're working too.

When he's doing lates, I quite like doing the evenings on my own and seeing him when he gets in just after 10.
Normal days are ok because that's what we're used too with his old job.
Last weekend was a bit rubbish because he was working 7-5 Saturday and Sunday - so I felt a little bit on my own with three children , but he was here for bedtime and to eat with me.
This weekend he's on nights, so will sleep for most of the day. So I've seen him for about 2 hours today, same tomorrow, then i'll see him when he gets up on Sunday.

Also, with him not working Mon-Fri 9-5 like he used too, I usually have no idea what day it is!

Sugar - I meant to say I sent my worker bees off to germany with a box yesterday, although I missed a trick because FIL is going to Germany(Heidelberg I think) next week, i could have sent him with it - prob would arrive at the same time

Aww hugs SS. You nearly described my life, only difference being that mine is devoid of a social life. Oh but wait OH thinks that my going to Asda is time to myself. A5s. And also ditto to what caz said.

I have no social life, but do have a lovely new pair of boots bought during my "night out" in Asda. I needed them, it was part of my self prescribed retail therapy.

No news from Beenie?

lol at social life! DH thinks me going to a toddler group or friends house with a little one is my socialising! He equates that to him being able to go out on a Friday night - but, like I point out to him - HIS social life doesn't involve at least one of the kids!

Ooh, are you me?

I almost had a social life last weekend, but all of my RL friends are [STRIKE]rubbish[/STRIKE] busy with their real lives.

Did the boots happen to be beautiful black leather, knee high, flat, zip up with straps around the ankle bit, for £36?

If it was, they're cheeky beggars, a pair of them fell into my trolley on Wednesday.

I just watched the time travelers wife and apart from him being hot is a soppy kinda way (less shagadelic more would bring you a cuppa when your snotty) it was bloody boring.
