  • Katie has this Buggy Snuggle she was alway lovely and cosy, so much better than the footmuff that came with our original pushchair (we also had the Graco Quattro Beast). It also meant I didn't have to buy a new footmuff to go on the ICandy or the OBaby.

Tara - beat you by about 3 years LOL

Gill- we have the monkey version of these on the Zia. It's a big hit. We also have one of the freebie Rainforest books from Bargain Books Direct that has a loop on it.

Henry and I had a sneaky impromptu trip to Ikea this afternoon which was fun. I got some Christmas gift bits like jars and shot glasses for my homemade gifts. I also bought this for H My store had also sold out of the vegetable toys, MFD, but they did have the Spooki in Krystal. Let me know if you would like my fairies to pick you one up.

I also have to ask whether anyone has tried the new chocolate orange cake in the Ikea cafe? It is one of the best things I have ever tasted! I highly recommend it.

Tara, it's not bright enough for my tastes lol! I like a black or red buggy with a BRIGHT in yo-face snuggler.

Gill, we don't use the bumper bar or play bag, she just has toys that clip onto the straps, usually though she just looks bored or sleeps.

So, my productive list so far is...

    Adjusted and scrubbed high chair.
Got rid of the empty cardboard boxes in the hall and hung up jackets.
Got rid of the old kettle and some junk that was just sitting for no reason, in the kitchen.
And also just to add, I squeezed a huge spot on my top lip but I think it may be impetigo... eurgh! I really have been stressed! Doing the shopping now.

Well done Tia! I think getting rid of clutter is always a good way to feel productive and to keep being productive because you can really see the difference right away.

I just made cheese on toast for my dinner, plus an apple. But Husband had them stored in the same basket as the onions and it tastes oniony :(

No response from my dodgy ebayer - I wonder if he is sitting at home cursing himself :rotfl: And it's been over 30 days now so he'll have to hunt quite hard to find the feedback option :)

On the verge of ordering, please help me out, is a waterproof footmuff and a decent hood on the pushchair a good alternative to a raincover?

I've no idea we use the rain cover but she hates it. We tend to dive on wet days :o

he is a bit like that. he will throw his toast on the floor, then 10 mins later be happy to munch on a breadstick as he plays. he hates been spoonfed unless its a yogurt so he eats everything from the tray of his highchair. he is happy to do this and if he doesnt want to eat drops the food over the edge.

    thanks

he's weighing 18lb 13oz today. he was full of a cold though for 4 days and then has had 2 big teeth come through as well.

today he's ate 1/4 slice of toast. small bit of ham, 3 breadsticks and 1 biscotti (he loves them but the heinz ones are not cheap)

he's drank 8oz bottle of formula and then 3 oz of moo milk with another 4oz of water.

tea in a bit will be some chicken pie, mash and a roasted potato.will see how much he eats and then a fromage frais (or 2 ) for afters. or a pot of fruit puree

does that seem enough? he is skinny as you can see from FB pics :o

Okay - Annabel is 19months and this is what she has eaten today.

1/4 slice wholemeal toast with peanut butter
    1/2 banana
    4oz whole milk
2 biscuits at toddlers (grown up nice ones I think!)
    1/4 large pitta bread
    tablespoon hummous
    1 slice crumbed ham
    1 small pack raisins
small bowl of pasta mixed with peas, poached salmon and philadelphia cheese but this was mostly thrown on the floor:D
    handful of grapes

she'll have approx 9oz milk before bed. Now this is a really good day. very often she'll only eat half that. And she doesn't always get given milk in the mornings - it depends on what we are doing.

I'm keen to keep her food varied and exciting, but shes going through a pasta phase and TBH I'm not pushing my luck. Go with things he seems to like, but most of all relax. try not to make a big deal of things, try and eat with him if you put him in a highchair.

Other than that - please don't worry. I'm sure your HV isn't trying to make you feel bad. You are a wonderful mummy and you are giving him everything he needs. You can't force him to eat.....SS point about high cal foods is a good one. cheese, butter, cream cheese mixed into things to bump up the calories worked for us when LO stopped eating very much - at about the same age :rotfl:

Ooh, I eyed up the chocolate orange cake yesterday... Settled for the sweetest strawberry tart in the world

And if you have plans to return to Ikea then yes a Spooki would be very much appreciated... But don't just go on my account :)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

krystal - you and MFD have started a tend. I know have a hot date in Ikea next friday :rotfl:

*beams with pride* beware proud mummy moment.

Annabel has just come through and said 'more grapes please mummy'

I was so proud that 1. she said a whole sentence without prompting and 2. was polite that I gave her more without realising that i'd said she couldn't have any earlier because she had thrown her tea on the floor :rotfl: Its hard being a proud but victorian mummy sometimes ;)
