    BEENIE!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Have you asked on freeycle? Although saying that ours only cost £100 brand new....

I've sent that exact email from GISI (i think it was, do excuse me im a bit frazzled)

Beenie - I do feel like im gonna end up resenting it, I've seen one on preloved which is £150 and in Guisborough (bit further than newton a!) plus i dont want bad feeling between DH and I over it. Although he hasnt said anything because he wanted to do whatever pleased me, but at this rate i know he's just going to end up getting the other one out and using that for himself....

I spent half an hour yesterday cleaning it up because it was a state (compared to being "immaculate") and had to wash everything. I realise I've got no comeback on the seat thing.... but the other annoying thing is i cant even get the carry cot onto the chassis..... its like the chassis is too wide? so rushed about like a mad woman putting the toddler seat on to take L to baby massage, and then couldnt get the hood on because one of the clips is bent in a weird direction and took 5 minutes and some brute force....

Baby massage was ok.... the woman doing it, its her first one in over a year (great confidence there) and was doing one thing but saying another, like "so from ankle toward the heart" and then going the other way...... some nice people, only one chav and her 15 yr old preggers friend..... even one boy born same day as Landen....was ok i wasnt blown away, and considering i had to walk home in the rain with no rain cover over Landen, im not entirely sure it was worth it....

weezl- if you are still here... could you ask your lovely DH

Kian has a tooth come through on top right molar but it looks all grey colour, and not shiny white like others? any idea why this is?

do i need to get it checked out?
He's working at home today! I just asked him, he says usually a baby tooth only goes grey if it has had a little knock, perhaps whilst still under the gum, the dentist won't do anything, but it's worth mentioning to him/her next time, so they can note it in kian's file. His adult tooth will not be affected :)

GISI, I have had a little snigger at the quinnys I must confess :D

:jYippee, my email was useful! Did you leave in the bit about GR?

I really, really want to make some gingerbread loaf. You know, the kind with cream cheese topping. But I also really want to fit in my dress for a black tie do at work in two weeks so I won't!

CAFC - sounds like you are having one of those weeks! If it helps, I have them most weeks :D The email sounded great - exactly what I think you should have said. I hope you get a response. You are definitely right to follow it up.

my friend is now officially overdue with number 2. Her LO is 10 days younger than my LO, so its a real wake up call for me! I think she's very calm at the moment.......I'm remembering all the things I loved when LO was born and hoping to help my friend out by forgetting about the boring presents we all returned and focusing on the yummy dinners in tupperware/floor cleaning/babysitting her toddler type things that actually will help :D

I didn't realise it came with tomato sauce! I do really want to try the one from the book though so might try that this time and use the packet one for something else.
lol, at least you were prepared, I started making it then realised it needed to prove for 40mins so had to quickly create something for lunch and then OH came home and used the lil bit of cheese I had so I had to rush to the shop for more!

    tara that sounds hard!

If not usually like this, do you think maybe she is a bit depressed?

If it has worsened this last coupla weeks maybe seasonal affective disorder mildly?

In terms of you trying to help, I expect you're already being an ace friend.

Perhaps lots of repetition, of 'oh I'm sorry to hear that, poor you!' which kinda doesn't then get drawn into the general being down on everyone, but is still supprtive?

tara - thats a shame. I think that negative thinking breeds negativity and that the reverse is also true. I'm not sue how to help or what to say to be honest. I'm not sure what age she is - I've found doing somehting for 'me' rather than anyone else has helped me. I'm currently doing a japanese cookery course on tuesday nights. Perhaps you could encourage her to indulge in some 'me' time?

you sound like a supportive friend to her - I hope that she opens up to you.
