    hi all,

    hugs to all that need.

a rant from me ... work is messing me around. another partner's meeting cancelled so i dont think i'll be getting my leaving date as soon as i would have liked. need to make a decision as to what i will do, but could end up losing a couple of weeks pay

on a good night, we had another night of uninterupted sleep. although was difficult to get her down (even our way), but i think i tried her too early so i will blame myself for that.

someone needs to make me buy my tumble dryer. i really want/need it, but have spent a lot of money of late with the move, so struggling to make this purchase and a pet hair hoover

I hope it's a great one when it happens. I'm trying to book us a few days in London (decided by the rubbishness of Easyjet's times to Ednburgh) but just CBA.

    Back to work tomorrow

Haven't been keeping up with the thread much, just reading bits here and there. Hugs all round, especially in this cold weather :grouphug:

Been trying to get ready for work but haven't really achieved anything. I'm still feeding Erin to sleep for her lunch time nap :o We started trying two weeks ago to nap without a feed but then she started teething and everything went out the window then last week she had her settling in session and has now caught a cold and is constantly feeding and sleeping. So either nursery will have her but will really struggle to keep her happy or they wont and OH will have to look after which is worse because he has no chance of getting her to sleep or I stay off :(. Don't want to stay off as I just want to get the 'going back' bit over with.

Michelle, it could be your period, which I hear are bad for the first time after but I wouldn't know as I still haven't had mine yet :D However if there are big bits you should probably speak to your doc.

AF should we buy one together? I'll hold your hand :p
I NEED a TD too but everytime I go to have a look I think meh this isn't as exciting as christmas shopping for my lovely boys.
    ETA - yey for sleep!!!

Can I ask a lil snoopy Qu? ...I'm going to anyway :pHas anyone else had their car insurance go up significantly this year without a change of circumstance? I've just sorted ours *yawn* It cost over £550ish despite us both having turned 25yo and it now being an extra year since I crashed and got a speeding ticket (it was a bad month sept 08!!) :o last year it was about £400, and the only reason I got it for less than £600 this time was by agreeing to an excess (previously we had £0 voluntary due to having £250 young driver excess)
I was at least cheered up by the script monkey who was either having a laugh or has a very silly voice :rotfl:

Will have to figure out which way is south from our house (useless at geography and all that) Do you guys have an alternate plan if the Monkey day gets rained off?

My baby is an optimist, albeit a slightly misguided one. We were out and she must've got a bit peckish as she was hopefully licking and nuzzling the side of her pram. :rotfl:

Eta, yeah, insurance for OH has skyrocketed (and he's been driving since before you were born, lol) Really not sure why, we tried shopping around etc, but it's still crazy money.

How is Thomas Gill? Is he feeling better now? My stomach turned after reading your post about your friend. I really hope her and bubs are going to be ok. :( Is he normally like that or has it been since LO was born?

Thomas is a lot better thanks - he's just a bit snuffly in the morning after lying down all night. DH came down with it on Sat meaning he was too poorly to sort T's bottles in the night and first thing :mad: He decided he wouldn't tell me as he didnt want to spoil my night.....coz having to get up at 4 when you've rolled home drunk at 2 is great fun!!!!

I thought I'd escaped but seem to have come down with it today so I'm feeling very sorry for myself.

TBH it's hard to say with my friend's DH as they've not been together a year yet! (baby was conceived after 2 weeks:eek:) He's very possessive and doesn't like her going out/doing things he doesnt want her to do but because she was pregnant and feeling low she just did what she was told or backed down and grovelled when he got angry. It's only recently that she's been feeling strong enough to rebel. Unfortunately sounds like she's back to doing whatever he wants again. She couldnt meet up this afternoon because she doesn't want to upset him :( Unfortuntately it's not a situation I can see getting better any time soon. It really upsets me coz he's beaten her down (mentally not physically) so much that she's just a shadow of herself.

BBC website is showing heavy rain for weds too. I'm wondering if we should cut our losses and rearrange to play place then at least the people who are free to come there but couldnt do monkey forest have time to make plans?

Michelle - I think you should definitely get yourself checked out. I've only recently had my 1st period and it was fairly light/normal.

Smartie - I bled for 5 weeks, had just stopped in time for 6 week check!

Sami - ours was about £100 dearer than last year and that was the cheapest we could get....believe me I looked lol

Yes Sami. In Feb Aviva wanted another £100, no changes, no crashes etc. I Changed to Swiftcover. OH works for an insurance brokers and even he couldn't get a better deal through staff sales. He says that car insurance is just going through the roof. My car insurance renewal has gone up every year, no matter how many years of no claims i accrue.

  _pale_ No there arent, maybe its just a mega long one...

On a more positive note, A's tiny love mat has just arrived but she has been asleep for the past hour and a half  and shows no signs of waking. Still waiting for the jumperoo otherwise I would have joined her!

First little funny story about A:
We usually watch a bit of This Morning most days as she tends to like programmes where people are talking- including Jeremy Vile! An advert came on with Phillip Schofield (I think it was about The Cube show he presents) and A suddenly perked up and started yapping on at him like he was part of the family! :D She was doing the same this morning- so Holly and Phillip are now members of A's circle of trusted people. :rotfl:

Sami For as long as i've been driving, people have said, you're insurance will go down once your 21, then 25, then 30 - and it has never gone down. :( The only time OH's ever went down was when he added me as [STRIKE]an older [/STRIKE]a better driver. :p

It will be interesting next renewal as he's had a bump this year. The confusing bit is, he had a bump in my car so will it affect my insurance, his or both?
OH pet rant at the moment is Whipcash claims. The bloke he went into the back of (at less than 5mph) had absolutely no damage to his car, ours had a cracked number plate and the grill had popped in, but the correspondance between insurers mentions the driver & his wifes injurys!

I think I was just looking to book for the sake of it.
I'm going to look at Feb half term or the Easter Holidays. Visiting family in Dublin again is a possibility, they have fab. stables next door so L can do some riding. Maybe flying and hiring a car to travel and visit other parts of Ireland this time.

Plus OH is moving to a different team/shift pattern this week, but doesn't know what it is yet, so we've no idea what shifts he's on for October half term.

and thanks to whoever (think it was beccles) posted the link for regatta outlet, i bought myself a waterproof jacket and it arrived today. is fab and saved me bout £30

Yes it was me! I bought myself some running tops when I got Charlotte's coat. It said they draw moisture away from the body. They're much better than cotton t-shirts for boot camp and I don't feel as sweaty :o

Thanks for all the good wishes everyone. Still deciding what to do for the best. Had a crap morning at work as everything went horribly wrong. Not my fault - stands not arrived in store and it's a tiny store so they didn't have the gondola end and stock lines that I was told they would.
Here I go again on my own....
