CAFC- when we got our last pushchair DH said as i used it most, i was to choose which one we got. all he asks is that the handles are high for him. We once saw a tall lady in Bury trying to push a buggy that was far too low for her. it looked ridiculous lol!!

aww mfd--- its horrible when you get such little time with them. nothing to add really. i find Kian is always exhausted after nursery as its so stimulating...so maybe Benjamin might need some quiet time while he's at CM.

MFD, my boys were like that. It's not fun when you work and you end up feeling like ships in the night :(

You could ask the CM to limit his nap to 1hr to 1hr30mins. Or perhaps split it into two naps and that may help keep him going a bit longer.

Will he wake at 7.30pm at all for 30mins or an hour, maybe get some sneaky time?

Much as I'd like to say feed him some sweets, it won't work if he is just a sleepy head. Sorry hun, it's not fair and even though he will get older and grow out of it, you do miss your baby times.

Susan, I read your letter. Whited out for those who don't want to read.
Thanks Tia. I think I will send it through PALS - I had a look at the local PALS information and it sounds like the best way to go based on that and what people on here have said.

I complained after I had DS2. Got a letter back saying sorry but it wasn't our fault. But then I found out when having Amber that my complaint meant an investigation and a new system for monitoring women displaying the 'key signs' that I had. So it does work even if it takes a while. And they don't really get back to you about it.

Course I also complained about plagio and had leaflets printed up and given out (coz I got 1 with Amber and was dead chuffed).

Plus it means that they have to read it they have to look into it, they have to reply to you and explain things, they have to answer for how you were treated. Best of luck!

My first day 'alone' with Theo went well; we had a bit of a disaster with me changing him and then him leaking through his clean nappy and onto our bedding LOL, so i changed him again and then we had a leaky poo nappy.. that wasnt pretty! So 3 clothes changes in one day :) my little man obviously didnt like what I was dressing him in!

We had a nice relaxing day, he slept the most he has slept during a day (i guess the less noise and distractions helped) as OH normally has the TV/ PS3 on and I didn't bother even putting the telly on. Even with the leaks he was still quite happy and content :) I managed to do quite a lot of washing but that was about it, it is definately hard getting on with things when your looking after a baby!

OH is going off again tomorrow, but my mum is going to pop over for a couple of hours as she wants to see Theo.

Thanks CAFC :) I do feel a bit like I am taking all your baby bits! Very sweet of you :) xx

kitkat, I recommend this book to everyone, as it's a lovely non-medical way to "beat" colic. He also has some YouTube videos so u ca research the methods for yourself before buying. What he says about babies makes lots of sense, expecially in this day and age when we rush to medicate for perfectly natural situations. The book is called The Happiest Baby on the Block. :)
