Aless - I can't help but I need to start thinking about the same thing!

BM - that happened to me with my first (and only!) post pregnancy period! Does that mean my muscles aren't strong enough?

Just doing my tedious bingo posts!

Just stick your finger up and you can feel it. It's like a lump that sticks out from the side almost as far as your finger reaches (how easy it is to reach actually varies through your cycle) and it has a dip in the middle.

  • Aless, I think it just takes a bit of getting used to again, have you still got the old size one to try. It took me a couple of periods to feel comfortable with a mooncup again.

Ladybird, did you see me mention a bilibo on fb, go on you know you want one http://www.bilibo.com/en/home/ I'm deffo getting Eloise one, I just need gltc to sort their 15% code out or firebox to send me a decent discount!

RMac one of the things I didn't mention cos I didn't know if you had an OH like mine but he needs to be the bad guy sometimes too, the consistency that everyone goes on about is not just about you but about both of you reacting the same way when she plays up.

I know there's a few Mooncup ladies on here...have any of you used it pre-preg and then moved to the larger size post-birth? I've done this and on my 3rd or 4th cycle now and still have leakage/fit issues. I cannot figure out what is going wrong except that my cervix feels super mega-low compared to what I remember before and that must be messing up the fit? I'm totally at a loss because I love my Mooncup but cannot keep using it if it's going to not do the job!! :( Wonder if another brand might fit differently?

Sorry Bruno & any other men lurking! :rotfl:
Mine was super uncomfortable towards the end of a period after I had Caitlyn, and also leaked... Mostly at night... I put it down to heavier flow after she was born, and also because my cervix was lower and shorter...

Do you check your cervix is inside once you've inserted it? I often just run my finger round the edge to make sure it's not gone up too high and missed the cervix...

How many times can I say cervix in one post? ;):p

    That thing?

It looks.... weird.... but in a way I think kids would love? Its on my Amazon wish list! And the pixel ones for DS2, I think they would be great for dexterous play.

I can't reach mine with my tiny fingers :o

And I can't help, Aless, sorry, I only started using my Mooncup post-baby and I already had the over-30s one from the beginning. But maybe try the smaller one?

I've just been making my will and I'm feeling very morbid. I found a free template for married women with children and it's only taken an hour to hypothetically dispose of all my worldly possessions.

No deffo don't need the smaller size, as I did have it for my first post-partum period and it was soooo wrong, which is why I went out and bought the A size! Thanks for the tip - maybe the lower position of my cervix means I need to change my insertion technique and double-check it. I guess I'm used to kinda just shoving it up there (:rotfl:) and it being fine! lol...

And we've decided that as a going-back-to-work present for me, I'm going to get a swim membership for the leisure centre and start going regularly! :T (I love swimming and haven't done it in years, but it's something I'm really into and makes me happy)
