AFternoon all. I've read back, but it has all gone in one ear and out the other. I know Congratulations are due to Angelcake though

And hoorah for walking and cruises
We've had a fab day - swimming and then the surestart centre had a family fun day, with a kids magician, and bouncy castle, a falconry display, police cars with sniffer dogs, and lots of balls and stuff. Plus it was next to the park, so we played there too. I think we will be in for an early night tonight! And we've been over to my parents this afternoon after naptime, so Izzy ended up having her tea there, which saved me a job
Anyway, need to get the washing hung out, back later I expect!

I'm good thanks. Had a brilliant summer holidays with trips out with my brood. Looking forward to the October week now
Becles - thanks for that info. From what age would you typically put a little ones name down for a school?
It depends on your area. Our primary is never over subscribed so they don't have a list. We just have to apply to the LEA in the autumn term before they start school.
You're best off asking the schools you are interested in, just in case there is a list. Charlotte was on the nursery list from her second birthday, as the other school doesn't have a nursery, so the nursery year is always over-subscribed.chopsticks wrote: »
I think we're going to get Caitlin a buggy for Christmas (for a doll, not for her), plus some art and craft stuff. She gets so much from other people. Has anyone got suggestions on the buggy or is cheap and cheerful the best?
We got a cheap one from Early Learning Centre for Charlotte. It's been well used and it's still in good condition. She's currently out in the street pushing it up and down because her baby needed some fresh air :rotfl:Thanks Becles (I'm guessing there's a lot of secret Rebecca's out there!)
I talk to her a lot when we're out and about too. I must look like a lunatic, but that's how kids learn isn't it? Still waiting for my books that everyone else has received *sob*
Yes I'm another Rebecca
You look more of a lunatic when you talk to them and they are not there, or you rock an empty trolley backwards and forwards in the supermarket
Hope you are ok Mel. Try and rest a bit this evening if you can xx
Had a busy afternoon. Cut back all the shrubs, honeysuckle and clematis down one of the back garden fences, mowed both lawns, then dug out the summer bedding and replaced it with pansies.
The garden wheelie bin was getting a bit full, so to squash it down, I picked Charlotte up and bounced her up and down in the bin. She thought it was hilarious and keeps asking to play in the bin :rotfl:Here I go again on my own....0 -
Very nice
what's that topping?
Choppy, very impressed with your cruise
OH is keen on one but we both believe(d) it would be impractical/bad with an active toddler. Sounds like your experience contradicts that - would love to hear more, and/or which cruise line it was with, we can go away and net research a bit more? 0 -
I would also like to know more about the cruise

Cafc I promise I'll go to post office on Tuesday
As for Christmas presents for e we are getting him a wooden swing for the garden, he loves swings, and u can change the seat on it so it will last him till he's 12, our hv was against walkers, she said loads of kids end up in a and e with them and when they learn to walk in them they walk on tip toes and then have to learn how to walk flat if that makes sense
I want to get him this trike thing,, it's like a thing that you push him on then it changes into a trike,, then a scooter etc, ,i think it looks cool lol
He's currently in the bright funky dashed lines next one you sent, 3-6 months......
I managed to work out he's had 820mls in the last 24 hours, which doesnt seem too bad to me... i couldnt figure it out in oz's :rotfl:I'm a baby of the metric age
I must be thinking of something other than a walker then. Thanks everyone for the links... I was thinking of one of these square things with like a bucket seat in the middle that he literally hangs out in... what are they called? But I think Kindof was talking about it... oh i dunno....
I'm thinking door bouncer but not sure how much of a good idea they are with an excitable pug....
but how cute is a swing for the garden... thats lush...
wish we had a garden LOL
im tattoo planning...:DWealth is not measured by currency0 -
