I am confused by the bingo thing, we use our points to play, right? then if you win a line what do you actually win more points? then what do you do with them?

Thank you Susan. I always forget that not all families are like mine :o

So I was making chilli jam and was interrupted so Husband could make dinner. I finished the washing up and put on the sugar/vinegar to dissolve. All was going well and out of nowhere it boiled over everywhere  Husband came and took care of it since he has asbestos fingers, and I shamefacedly went back to finish it off. He hadn't even got back to the living room and it boiled over again :o

On the plus side, the boilover alerted me to the fact that it was at the right consistency for putting into the jars, so now it's all done and the kitchen clean again. I meant to make and freeze cookie dough tonight as well, but the way my kitchen luck is going I've decided to stay well clear :rotfl:

  • kindof - you can trade 10000 points for £5 amazon vouchers, but you have to have spent 2000 points on bingo, so if you end up winning in bingo you just get to your 10000 points quicker iyswim. Even without winning, you should be able to get £5 voucher every 2 weeks.

  • SS - what recipie did you use for your chilli jam? I'm picking loads at the allotment at the mo, but DH can't eat them, so I only use them when I'm only cooking for me, and fancy something I need chillis for, so I was contemplating chilli jam :)

    Nigella's: 600ml cider vinegar, 1kg jam sugar, 150g chillis, 150g red pepper.

    Sterilise your jars.
Deseed and finely process the chilli and peppers.
Dissolve the sugar in the vinegar over a low heat without stirring.
Add the pulverised pepper mix and bring to a rolling boil. Keep it there ten minutes then drop some of the mixture onto a plate, wait 30 seconds and push it. It should be solid enough to smudge up a bit with a bit of crinkling.

Take it off the heat and leave it for a while, then transfer into jars. Don't ruin your pans or burn your fingers.
