  • If you put stuff into your basket does it automatically change price???? tried this with boots last year and nothing changed in price when sale kicked in and had to start again....

if i remember rightly last year people had trouble with their pre filled baskets on the sale day,i cant remember what happened though

Am totally gutted as the only day I am having off over half term is the Thursday, I'd planned to leave extra early for work on the Wednesday, get to Sainsbury's around 7.30ish and bag some bargains. Am equally gutted as Boots points event is the Thursday night so cant go to that either. However I have to say when I popped into Sainsburys at lunch time their toy aisle had practically evaporated, taken over by masses of Xmas crackers with very few toys left on display.

Does anyone have any experience of how their website holds up when these sales happen, as may now have to stay up really late on the Wednesday, does the sale start at 12.01 on the Thursday?

    Many thanks for any advice.

Feel I am going to have to speak very kindly and gently to my mum to see if she can have the kids for an hour or two that day, hopefully will get the things I want online, but if that fails am determined to get there and grab some bargains as missed out last year due to swine flu (I didnt have it I was working in the antiviral clinic!).:rotfl:

just a word of caution, not sure if anyone has had this happen but i have heard that if you place particularly large orders during these sales you run the risk of your order being cancelled for fear that you may be buying to sell on.
as i said not sure how true this is but just thought i would pass this on.
I will try to get just what i really want online and anything else i will go instore for just to be on the safe side.
  • Does this mean that all the toys will be half price online or just a selection?

There are alot of things my kids want on the sainsburys website but getting them all for half price sounds far too good to be true, do things go out of stock fairly quickly?

Last year all toys were half price, but by the time I realised that the sale WAS online at about 8am, 95% of the stuff was sold out!!

I pre-filled with a total of £90 (after half price) worth of stuff and paid at 12.02am without any problems!
I dont remember anyone having probs last year but just to be sure this year, I might have 2 pages open, 1 prefilled and one not (with a list of numbers or names of what I want to get to them quicker!) just in case!! :D
  • Does anyone know please if you can still click and collect whilst sale is on or is it home delivery only?? saying that their postage is very reasonable and I may even get carried away and spend over the £50!!
