My local store is open 24 hours. So I was wondering if anybody knows what time they would be likely to start the sale? just after midnight or 7 in the opening?

Thinking of sending my hubby in late/early while I man the internet side of things. He doesn't know it yet though!

Can anybody remember this happening with their local store or did I imagine it?

My store brought in loads of toys and kept refilling constantly throughout the day. But the only thing they never refilled was the lego.

I was going to ask the same thing. I don't really want to do it online. I would rather go into the store. I would love it if the sale started at midnight. Get the parents to watch the kids while I get ready for my super market sweep. I have already had a look at the toys thats I want and where they are placed, ready to grab. I know for a fact that my kids toys are going to be the ones that go straight away.

If my kids are with me when i buy toy's. I tell them that santa has been in touch with me and i have to purchase it on his behalf. Because the elve's have not made enough of this toy this year. I tell them that i have to send it off to santa. They think i have a direct line to santa. Suppose i do lol. I have also put everything in a trolley, and put the kids back in the car while i run back in and pay for it. Parking the car so i approach it from the boot, so i can put them in without them realising. The things we all do.

Im another one who tells my kids that im sending the presents to santa and he will deliver them, its worked so far

Getting confused reading these posts, does everyone think its online midnight on 27th and into 28th in store or midnight online 26th into 27th in store??

I have a few things that I want to try and get online but then I want to go into the store to get stocking fillers and some kids friends presents. Can anyone remember what time it opened in store last year?

Does anyone know how long the website will keep stuff in your basket for?

I know lots of people pre-loaded their baskets and went through checkout when the prices updated but i'm wary of doing it too early.

I have been waiting months for this and will cry if i don't get some things.

The sale is defiantly Thursday 28th, because someone posted on the Sainsburys.co.uk 'online community' forum saying it's 28th October and the post has now been removed.
