I watched it yesterday and was shouting at the screen so much. The way they spoke to those poor kids about their mum really wound me up!:mad:

They may not all be like this, but the ones on the programme...... well they are Scum. I am discusted that this hasn't been plastered all over the news and investigated. And the poor woman who had the two bailiffs and what 3? or four police officers in her house for her sons debt. That was totally bullying tactics when the policemen said "look can you not just pay him the money? "- to get them all to go away. How doubly intimidating would that be.

I felt strongly about this programme, There must be some organisation somewhere campaigning for better regulation that we can sign up to?

It is obvious, from the treatment received by Anniestar - showthread.html?t=269280 that this programme has, unfortunately had absolutely no effect on the way that these 'people?' are conducting their business.
The mere fact that this is so close to the actual programme, when you would reasonably expect most bailiffs to be 'treading on eggshells' proves that the 'Whistleblower' has only exposed the tip of the iceberg.
The previous programme, about 'bungs' in football, has attracted continuing media coverage, because it has an element of 'sensationalism' about it - we all 'love' to see the mighty fall, but, perhaps because it only affects 'normal' insignificant people, there seems to have been little media reaction in this case.
I would implore everyone to do their utmost to keep this subject in the public eye.

Having seen, on this evening's news, that a former cheif police officer will be heading the inquiry into the alleged football 'bung' scandal, exposed by the BBC Whistleblower program, yet not a word about the Bailiff programme, I am unashamedly bumping this thread.

I did. I'm already pursuing a complaint regarding bailiffs with my MP but have written again pointing out that this is a serious and widespread problem.
