    I think 5 viewings in two weeks is okay. It does tail off after the first couple of weeks as the first viewings are generally people that the agent already has on the books. I generally notice that more viewings occur on the weeks when the property is featured in the local press and that if you happen to get an inpromptu viewing one day, that you tend to get more following. They're like buses.

    I really think that the way an agent talks about your house has massive impact on the number of viewings, so if it's in their mind that day for whatever reason, you've a better chance.

  • It all depends on the house and location. We had a nice looking house but not in a particularly desirable location. It took a while to get a single viewing but then the first person that looked has put an offer in on it.

    My view is so long as its presentable and at a realistic price you should be fine. Id be more concerned if id had lots of viewings with no offers - then you know there is a problem somewhere
  • we had 5 people, got feedback on what they raised which we knew would come up but thought we may get away with it, so now we need another to come in and see it, after the feedbacks been actioned upon lol and sods law it goes quiet

    according to the EA there are 150 people who have had our details, 5 viewings from that is 3% so a phone call will be happening i think
  • our house was on the market for 2 weeks. had 2 viewings on the first day before the brochure was even available at the agent. second day 2 third day 2 fourth day 1 fifth day 1 following week mon-wed no viewings then thursday night 2 viewings and we had a bid war on our house on friday morning and went sale agreed at 4.30pm on the second friday.
  • 11 weeks on the market. One person knocked on door and viewed about 4 weeks ago. Had another yesterday - woman LOVED the property. Brought hubby back today ..... who pulled the place to pieces.

    Not exactly a vibrant market round here at the seaside I'm afraid. House priced very low to sell already! Looks like were in it for the long haul;

    That's a lot of house for the money, vindalooloo; you wouldn't guess how large it is from the front picture. I love the fireplace and the look of the dining room - high ceilings and lots of natural light.

    What's that going round your bathroom? It looks very odd in the picture - I'd paint it white to make it blend in. :o

  • We had about 17 viewings over 4 weeks, and accepted the first offer we got which was 500 below asking price.
    My sig's too large, apparently - so apologies to whoever's space I was taking up.:lipsrseal

    We deliberately underpriced to sell quickly and it worked!

    Two viewings on day 1, one offer of asking price. Three months later chain falls apart. I phone someone who had put a note through the door a month previously, they view and offer asking price. Job done!

    We have had seven viewings in three weeks without an offer, agent says average round here is 14 so just keep waiting and hoping.
