I have a small retail shop, my bank charges horrific fees every time I go over my overdraft - can I make any claims back on a business account?0
-
Read full pages of Martins tips and was obviously re personal accounts. My business is of a medium size expanded financially as we have grown but to the expense of "fall back " resourses. Thus incurring over the years a five figure sum of charges alone!. Advise would be helpful on the particular Scottish Courts and proceedures for these sums.

hello
me and my wife have been barclays customers for over 12 years now and have several accounts, we have a business account that has over £350,000 put through each year and a couple of current accounts that are slightly overdrawn, surely it is too good to be true that we can claim over £10,000 back in charges that we have incurred over the past 6 years? I hope we can as we can get some new bits n bobs??? i am looking at two letters I have just printed off and am going to send tomorrow, lets wait and see what they say? Barclays have always been sharks in my eyes but you know what its like when u r 2 busy to change things I suppose u just make doo ? I wanna screw them over for all the money we can get because when you get charged it puts you behind the next month. Once I purchased a sandwhich from Sainsburys using my connect card and went aout 20p overdrawn and the thing ended up costing me £35 !!!! I dont ike swearing but a ham salad sandwhich for £35 is taking the complete !!!! ? I dont think they will clse my account as we do put trade their way but we have a secret squirrel account just in case. I want some advice on Barclays Business account because this forum seems to be mainly for personal accounts !!!!
thank you

Thread here regarding the Scottish system but best to check out the CAG forums for the Scottish Procedure as well as business accounts.

My wife runs a small retail business and from time to time depending on trading there have been charges applied to the account for DD or bounced cheques.
Can the same process for reclaiming bank charges on personal accounts be used for reclaiming charges on a small business bank account?;)0 -

Hello All,
Apologies if this has been posted before.
I am a newbie here!!!! Love the site, today have sent off 4 letters requesting information and my first demand to HSBC for £1986.38.
A colleague is thinking of doing this as well - she is self employed as is not sure whether she has a business account or a current account. So my question is can you claim these charges on a business account!!
Thanks0 -
The above posts should help your colleague out0
