I had Paignton Zoo in mind but hadn't realise there was an Exmoor Zoo aswell. I will have to ckeck that our membership allows us free entry :D Thank you for that and will be sure to give you a wave!

Exmoor Zoo is smaller, less commercial, but much closer.

Any other good places to visit in that area? My friend mentionned Blackpool Sands but not sure how close that is.

We like "the big sheep" and quite like "the milky way" your DD will enjoy both, and neither is totally weather dependant.

Beach at Braunton burrows is nice, but Woolacombe should meet your beachy needs fine.

I could do with a break but it's one of the busiest times of year for us so no rest for a little while yet.

I don't think I've ever been to Woolacombe but I'm all for a British seaside holiday - it's all we had as kids and I loved it. :)

I know someone who has a caravan and regularly takes her grandchildren there, they also go abroad but the grandchildren say they enjoy the caravan holidays more. I just hope the weather is half decent when we go. :)

    5p on Onepoll today, haven't I done well! :D

Going to enjoy my day off today as it was unexpected as we had too many staff so I offered to take A/L which was the extra day we got due to the royal wedding. :j

I am working tomorrow afternoon then I'm off for 16 days!
    • Sun is shining so i should probably put the WM on. one load on the line followed by immediate cloud cover, anothe load on.
    • Want to pop out for some paint for the nursery, just thinking cream for the walls as it's such a small room then look for some 'stickarounds' (need to research these online)
    • Need to ring the joiner to alter door to open outwards or fit sliding door. Hope he wants the work as tradesmen only seem to want bigger jobs. Also the cotbed has a broken piece I'm hoping he can repair. he's ringing back next week but happy to do the jobs
    • Need to pack up box of clothes for a friend. Posted some pics on fb for someone else and she offered to buy and I didn't hear off the other person. Just waiting for her cheque to arrive. cheque has arrived, parcel posted.
    • Need to pop onto smlsave's diary to look for baby news checked and posted!
    • DH is going to take DD for a haircut and i'll ask him to get her feet measured. I think she's a 9g and I am watching some 'doodles' on ebay. haircut booked for saturday morning, feet are only 8.5g (her feet grow sooooo slowly!)
    • Also need to attack surveys and Onepoll at some point! 20p on onepoll, just sitting down with a coffee to do some surveys.
That will do for now, off to put WM on!

Sounds like we should really enjoy the holiday, i'll have to start checking the long range weather forecast.

Fairly constructive morning helped by DH taking DD into town for a little while.

We did wonder whether to go to the Cheshire Show today, it looks like a great day out but would have cost £32 to get in and turned into an expensive day. There is always next year. :) There is too much to do here anyway. Maybe we could pop to the zoo later.

Got a charity bag to fill so can do more decluttering there. Also want to pop out for paint for nursery as we could probably get that painted in less than an hour and we really don't have many days when we are both around.
