Exactly, i think it will work out cost effective in terms of meals etc anyway. We can sit and have a cooked breakfast (avoiding buying lunch out) Also has a better bedroom set up for DD and french doors with decking, BBQ and furniture so we could have outside space too. I can sit out there of an evening with a glass of schloer! DH is very keen so I think I will phone up to upgrade tomorrow. I am really looking forward to the break now and have never been to Devon. We can also have earlier check in too by upgrading, 2pm instead of 4pm which is a lot better.Nov 2025 - part 1 - £13,878 part 2 - £20,953 Total - £34,832 24 months to go!0

I'd probably upgrade as well. The last sun holiday we went on the caravan was very basic. We did have a table to sit at around the sofas but an outside area would be so much nicer.0

Cath can you tell us where in Devon? Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0

When I went to Park resorts in West Wales a few weeks back, we upgraded to a gold chalet and it had a better view and furniture. It really made our holiday enjoyable. Definetely worth it!0

We have decided to upgrade to the platinum caravan for an extra £80. Can have a 2pm check in and we also get a free welcome pack of food and drink which normally costs £35. Have also just seen that we have already been charged £24 for gas and electric but i'm sure I have just read that by upgrading we won't get charged so need to double check that. How MSE is this upgrade becoming! :money:
Grateful we are going to Woolacombe. I have just put it in the route planner and it's predicting 250 miles and a 5 hour 9 minute journey :eek:Nov 2025 - part 1 - £13,878 part 2 - £20,953 Total - £34,832 24 months to go!0 -
Just had a look and we have already paid £24 for gas and electric but in the platinum caravan it's free. I just hope there is one available when I ring up tomorrow!Nov 2025 - part 1 - £13,878 part 2 - £20,953 Total - £34,832 24 months to go!0

Its a fair step from you, I think. We are near South Molton, wave as you go past!
Hope you can walk to the beach, parking is vastly expensive. There are swingboats on the beach and a cute little train ride. The Red Barn is not so tacky as it looks on the outside, but pricey, and checkout Exmoor Zoo, its ace and very MSE - loads of free things once in and not too expensive.
Having said that you prob go there every year!!Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Caravan upgrade done. Originally I requested the wrong one and they didn't have any so was going to go for the next one down then realise I was on the wrong page in the brochure. It has cost £105 as they only had one of the newer models left and they are more expensive but it's going to be fab! I will try and post a link

I had Paignton Zoo in mind but hadn't realise there was an Exmoor Zoo aswell. I will have to ckeck that our membership allows us free entry
Thank you for that and will be sure to give you a wave!
Any other good places to visit in that area? My friend mentionned Blackpool Sands but not sure how close that is.Nov 2025 - part 1 - £13,878 part 2 - £20,953 Total - £34,832 24 months to go!0
