    Good idea!

Finally feel like I have had a productive weekend although it has mostly felt like I've spent It washing.

All beds changed, snug transformed into a reading/games room with a lovely new to me armchair, charity shop run done and lots of lovely dog walks. £4.50 requested from tcb yesterday so overpaid that along with a 20p tilly today. I definitely feel that attacking the mortgage is key to whether I feel I am making any kind of progress.

I've set up my 2020 planner and made plans to refine savings.

I've also managed to give up coffee and already feeling better for it. It had absolutely no effect in 'perking me up' due to the copious amount I was drinking. I'm actually now less tired!!!

    January spends

    Supermarket £66.43
    Fuel £60
    June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!

Very quick post from me. Not a lot happening here but I guess that doesn't mean no progress as there's also very little spending taking place. £2.20 in supermarket today on necessities. 87p tilly tidy and another day of no coffee!

A more productive day today, overpaid a 27p tilly tidy and then also overpaid £9.07 I found payable in tcb. Spreadsheet updated the those op's means we will have dropped into the next 1k bracket next month. Around another OP of £20 should see another month knocked off.

Have transferred money out of S&S ISA as I think I'm a bit risk averse! I'm going to stick it in the premium bonds and hope for the jackpot!

The plan now is to keep spends low as I have the holiday deposit siting in the account ready to pay off the cc and I don't want the account to dip below it. It is slightly too early to be counting down to payday.....

Savings now safely in premium bonds. Maybe now I will be more motivated to add to it.

Oven broke temporarily this week but Dh thankfully managed to fix it! Really didn't fancy the expense and hassle of replacing.

Healthy eating continues and I'm feeling much more energised. Hopefully see some good results as the month progresses.

68p tilly with hopefully more tomorrow when I can see what pennies are left after car payments go out. We are so close to knocking another month off and I want it gone!

Overpayment of £15.91 which was a few pounds left in Dh bills account (this gets a small hally reward we overpay) and over £13 from mine due to reward and a reduction in the phone bill (I've moved onto payg so we essentially have 3 phones for the price of one).

In my head this would definitely knock a month off so fired the laptop up and we were £1.30 away so although it's tight this month I've overpaid £1 of normal cash to see us into the next month. Plan to knock off 23 months this year....22 to go!

Thank everyone, looking back on the week it's been a pretty good one. Lots achieved, feeling organised and productive with a family weekend ahead of us.

Just checked tcb which I've done several times today and I've got £100 payable. That surely has to knock another month off mortgage 2? Currently we've knocked off 16 months since overpaying it in April 2019. Be interesting to see what we could achieve by April 2020!

Small food shop today too so spends updated. Payday still a little way off but almost single figures until CB lands.

    Fuel £59.50
