Thanks both. Am a lot more comfortable today. Got out with Dh and the children and also managed a 20 minute dog walk.

We did some lovely Christmassy things today. The children posted their letters to Santa, we drove past a local house which has put all their Christmas lights up (we always go and see them on Christmas Eve and leave a donation to their chosen charity).

We then went to a local Christmas factory outlet and bought some outdoor Christmas lights and may be back for more. Also bought some more tree lights as each year I feel we don't have enough! Also bought some nutcracker figures so just need to work out where I want to display them.

Also popped to a lovely garden centre to see their displays, it was well worth the trip and very magical - hopefully the children thought so too! We are passed the age of grottos and since the queue was never ending I'm not too disappointed about that!

95p Tilly tidy this morning. Spent quite a bit today so a few NSD's would be most welcome now.

    Fuel £124

    Good evening.

73p Tilly tidy this morning and an extra £10 this evening as had some money I wasn't expecting.

Payday for Dh this week so have. Set a budget without taking into account any extras. All extras will be split between savings/mortgage/holiday fund.

Off for a much needed early night tonight after only having about 3 hours sleep last night. Ds wasn't feeling well and I just couldn't settle, he's feeling a little better so hoping we both sleep well!

Thanks Newgirly, ds still not 100% but had a better sleep last night.

Remaining consistent over here, 60p Tilly tidy yesterday, current account Cashback which is already OP'd has landed so I've transferred that. I had roasted veg for dinner which I'd made to prevent food being wasted.

Meanwhile.....Dh haemorrhaged £20 at the school Christmas fayre, those places really are money pits!

  • Christmas fayre... the evil of us MFWers... Thanfully we'll need to whisk the kids away to a pre booked dentist/doctor/optician appointment. Or it can be on Nanny's school pick up day:D

Thankfully that's it now! We are going to a fayre in the next village next weekend but hopefully be festive but not spendy.

Had a couple of mini shop this week so need to add £9.15 to the spends. Payday for Dh today so overpaid £3.39, sent another £200 to credit card and need to work out what to do with the rest of the extra money. Won't need to top up Christmas shopping fund money as that's looking fairly healthy with not too much more to buy.

Had to buy a new harness for puppy who is growing fast. Tried to buy him a coat but he seems to be a funny shape as nothing fits, I feel his pain! I've also caught him eating some Christmas decorations this morning which were in another room waiting to be used.
Dh only put everything in there yesterday! It seems nothing is safe!

Tree going up this weekend and our elves arrival is imminent! Ds was starting to doubt the whole Santa thing but the beginning of the elf arrival has reignited his belief.

Looking forward to a relaxing weekend. Happy Friday!

I hadn't even noticed the off £4 on the signature, don't worry - that's not the balance ;). I only update the sig on the 1st and we've overpaid £272 off that this month :j

Well, Christmas has arrived here today and the tree and decorations are up. Bought new tree lights, baubles and outdoor lights so have spent roughly £32 topping up the festivities. Considering I spent around £80 on hand made crafty items last year I haven't done too badly.

It's been so cold here today, barely got above freezing all day and cars starting to freeze again when I walked the dog just before 5pm.

Christmas shopping continues to arrive, this is the part of online shopping I'm not keen on. One delivery incorrect so had to return a package then they will send the correct items. Our elf arrives tomorrow so that will keep me busy!

    November totals

    Supermarket £246.33
    Fuel £154
Mortgage OP's £272.40 (knocked an extra 2 months off end date this month)
    June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!
