Thanks both, we are absolutely going to have strict rules around use of the phone. Really don't think I'm prepared for the whole high school transition.

Bought a superb bundle of clothes for ds today, he loves all the clothes too which is a bonus and they are immaculate - £15 very well spent. We do need to be careful now on the run up to payday as been a bit spendy of late.

Another small top up shop today and sadly no pennies to Tilly tidy.

    November spends

    Fuel £60

The start off secondary school signifies the slippery slope towards “Kevin the teenager” territory in my experience.
You are so right making those boundaries Cath, even if everybody else’s parents don’t, apparently my kids friends parents let them do more, stay up later, have more freedom, play older games :rotfl:

Attending a training day today and there was some good information on phone safety etc.
I'm always told I'm soooo strict by my eldest, I'm definitely not strict - just consistent with boundaries.

Found £2.73 to Tilly tidy today from a bills account. Cancelled our HomeCare agreement yesterday but think I'll let the funds build up in the account it's usually paid out of in case we have a breakdown. Couldn't find the key to bleed the radiators anywhere so will pick one up tomorrow.

It was a NSD until I bought a chew at puppy training class tonight but as it was cash it doesn't really count as it's the current accounts I am focusing on.

Feelings of overwhelm creeping in again here - am blaming the full moon!

I think it has a lot to answer for :)

Had an okay week and got a few jobs done. On top of things at home and finally returned an email to a potential high school that I jut haven't had chance to.

Tilly tidies are a bit slow as little account activity this time of the month (payday next week) but managed 11p this morning.

Still trying to get organised for Christmas and still waiting on 3 deliveries. Plan is to get to Mr S to use the double up to get a few things off their lists.

Was chatting with Dh recently and he would really love for within the next 7 years to be working less hours (this would
Work best for us as he works unsociable hours and I'm the breadwinner). Obviously being mortgage free or even almost there on mortgage 1 would help massively with this.

    Keep plodding MFW's

Had some absolute bargains this morning! Had £76 worth of Christmas presents free from Mr S courtesy of the double up and a £6 off voucher. It was definitely worth it as they were items they want rather than me buying things from the gift section for the sake of it. Will pop back tomorrow when I can use another £6 off voucher to use my remaining points. Everything is now safely hidden away.....

25p tilly tidy with hopefully more to come if I can set and stick to a strict budget on the run up to payday.

I do life free money Apple. I'm keeping a log of it all so I can work out what Christmas actually 'cost'.

Spent the remaining vouchers yesterday (they are capped at £100) and got some jeans for dd and some pyjamas for me for Dh to wrap up for my present. Also bought the advent calendars to save any last minute panicking at the end of the month.

Small top up shop done which should see us through until Friday and I've pencilled in what to do with the remaining budget. A chunk will go towards mortgage (hopefully enough to knock a month off, then knock another with an OP on payday), some to cc and some to premium bonds.

20p Tilly tidy this morning to kickstart the week.

The school which my DS2 attends actually shows them the Kevin the Teenager video in one of their PSHE lessons at the start of Y8! :rotfl:

Sounds like some great Xmas bargains, Cath :T
