Had a really good day today. Absolutely smashed the gym and increase most of my weights. 30kg deadlifts, 75kg hip abductors were a couple of the increases. Wow I can feel it tonight though so think tomorrow's workout needs to focus on upper body!! It's a good job my protein powder delivery came today aswell

Spent an hour or so at a park a short drive away and it was lovely in the sunshine. Load of washing line dried but need a few minutes in the tumble drier to finish off. I keep forgetting it's only February as have such high expectations of the weather at the moment.

    No supermarket spends today!!

Sounds like you're smashing it, Cath! :T

Do you count protein powder as part of your grocery spends? The one time I bought a bulk load (when doing BCoach) I did but it sure made my spends that month take a hit!

Thanks greent, have done 40 minutes of shoulders today as want more definition in my back. Let's see how well I move my arms tomorrow as hanging the washing out when I got back wasn't exactly easy!!

I don't already add it in as sometimes it last me more than a month. Just spent £53 on protein powder but it should last a while. I try not to use too much but as I'm trying not to eat meat/fish it's sometimes difficult even though I try and choose naturally high protein foods. Had avocado on toast when I got back which was delicious, was just missing a poached egg!

Dh thinks we need a food shop today *bangs head*. Since the only things we need are curry paste and two laundry products I think we can survive another day. I'll pop to Mr S tomorrow after a morning appointment we have as their new n3ctar app is working really well for us for items we buy regularly. Fingers crossed ds is okay after the appointment as it's ent for him and I'm not sure what investigations they are going to do!

Today's plan is sort out washing, two loads of bedding on the line. May cut the grass if it's dry later (if not will do in the week). Other than that we are relaxing with a day at home as have other things planned this week.

Oh, money making/saving activity? The only thing I've done is keep dh away from supermarket and melted down the end of my y@nkee candle to use as melts to avoid waste. I would check the accounts but there's nothing exciting going on!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday.

Well I really did smash the gym on Saturday as my legs are still hurting! Listened to a fab video in my coaching group which encouraged me to push myself - I guess it worked!

Hospital appointment for ds today and then we are all off to the zoo so should get nose of my steps done there. Just need to sort a picnic before we leave for hospital .

Regular £300 overpayment sent (sadly don't include this figure in our overpayments total) and paid £200 off cc ready for holiday balance to be added. Was meant to send £300 but living off £59 I felt was a bit too extreme even for us! Will add to mortgage/holiday/savings/fun money pot when dh gets paid at the end of the week.

Right, I really must get ready!

Well yesterday went as planned. Hospital appointment went well then we went to the zoo. We are having such amazing weather for February I keep forgetting it's still Winter. Mornings are still chilly though! Zero spends in zoo but I did go to Mr S and coop for meal deal. Spends still well within budget but not as low as I'd like.

Have been doing some quick sums as dh considering a job change which impacts on the need for after school childcare. It will all even out though and even if slightly out of pocket he needs this change. Dd is an older year 5 so she won't be needing childcare forever!

Few surveys done yesterday and had current account cash back of £1.38 this morning which I have already overpaid. I always forget it's been earned so is a nice bonus when it lands.

Might have a day at home today as I'm back to work tomorrow and dh has lots of activities planned with the children and some of their friends. Be easier to take the four of the out than entertain them all at home I think! Here is where NT membership comes in very useful.

Off to the gym this morning. Legs have recovered from Saturday, triceps have not recovered from Sunday!!

    February spends
    Supermarket £273.93
    Fuel £110.26

Thank you Apple, that's really kind of you to say. I'm much happier when I've got clear goals and am smashing them.

Has to dig deep fitness wise today as woke with a dreadful headache which didn't go until early afternoon. Somehow managed to absolutely smash leg day but then I was really hungry and exhausted to had to be really careful to make sure I hit my 15k steps and macros (which I did but it wasn't easy for a while!)

95p Tilly tidy as bought some ionised water for our fire which made account by untidy. Used up some mince to make a Bolognese for dh and the children and i am hoping dh will eat the leftover coconut milk curry tomorrow. I'd frozen two of my lentil batch cooked meals so have got one out for lunch tomorrow. Freezer is well stocked so only top up shopping should be needed this week. Famous last words when we don't seem to be able to keep out of the supermarket!

£4.05 spent at Mr S after the gym and also collected some items for free off a selling site. Was just out of town but worked it around gym and supermarket to minimise fuel costs.

Bedtime now hoping I don't wake up too hungry with really sore legs!

Quick check in. Small shop today for strawberries and yoghurts which were an impulse buy but very much enjoyed.

Rang 8ky earlier to reduce package, thankfully didn't get he hard sell and package reduced as requested - £30 a month saved. Just need to email NT and cancel direct debit to get that cancelled too which will save another £10 a month.

Payday for dh tomorrow so will complete the money shuffle and top up savings/overpayment/holiday pots.

15k steps and macros smashed today. Yet another day closer to my goals.

Thanks Mfd, has been an effort to hit my 15k steps today but I've done it now. Tracking definitely working for me as I know if I'd be mindlessly eating this evening if I didn't already know I've hit my calories, am on 1800 so allowed plenty but am smashing workouts so getting hungry at times.

Bought some tea lights today, used £2 of vouchers I think I've had for a few years from an old refund so they actually only cost me 50p. No other spends and no visits to the supermarket.

Worked out we've spent 384/500 (budget) in supermarket and on fuel this month which is pretty good going. Hopefully dh won't spend too much tomorrow as I don't really want big spends on the 1st of the month! Feb food spends were £273.93, about £7 less than January but we did have 3 days less to eat/spend.

Have also checked the savings account I've just been siphoning off extra wages into and was pleased to see over £750 in there. Plan is to forget about it again now. I'd love to knock another month off the mortgage but have realised we need to diversify, this account pays 5% interest and we need savings.

Only 19 days until CB lands in account again....too early for a challenge?
