Just a quick update to log spends as think I have lost a post!

Looking forward to a relaxing weekend and a bit of sunshine would be a bonus! I'd be lying if I wouldn't also be pleased at line drying some washing!!

Also need 4 NSD's after a mammoth food shop today!

    February spends
    Supermarket £172.50
    Fuel £50.26
    June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!

Supermarket spends seem low compared with the Watty household. Not sure if that makes you feel any more positive about them ....I try to be frugal and not doing to well at the moment :)
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Thanks Watty, ours have been a lot lower. They've increased quite suddenly so trying to work out if we have any extravagant spending which we don't seem to! You've got to do what's right for you at the moment, no extra pressures.

I am declaring today as a productive Saturday. Did 40 minutes of weights in the gym, it was busy so I couldn't get on everything I wanted to so adapted it and enjoyed it. Increased some of weights too which should help with results. Have line dried two loads of washing and just finished them off in the tumble drier, downstairs hoovered, tidied and cleaned. Bathrooms are okay so housework pretty much up to date. I've managed to fit my favourite pudding into my macros, I'm on almost 13k steps and still have calories left for later! :D

Couldn't resist overpaying another £25 off the mortgage, I've technically 'borrowed' it from the bills account until payday but wanted to enjoy the feeling of the month it knocked off which would have been lost with our regular overpayment on payday. Also checked house bricks and coloured in another two.:j
So our new end date is February 2028 which means I'll be 45 and we have managed to knock off a month in the first 6 weeks of the year. My target is to knock off 3 months over the course of this year so really pleased with this progress.

A relaxing evening awaits finishing off a series we like. Have a day out provisionally planned for tomorrow and I am crediting the sunshine with today's positivity and progress!

What a lovely weekend. Nothing special but feel we have achieved a lot as a family.

Dh has worked overtime today but has a few well deserved days off to look forward to. Trying not to give him a list of jobs!! I went to thee gym again today even though I didn't go in my usual slot of first thing. Instead I went when dh got back from work, I supply dislike doing things in the middle of the day but I've got goals to hit! Did 40 minutes of weights, done 105k steps this week and have lost 2lbs of fat. Children have done homework, reading and both played the piano beautifully. Dd has almost finished learning her third piece for her grade 1 exam and it's sounding wonderful. Dd went out to play earlier (a bit of a milestone for her as went to her friends alone -it's hard letting go of those apron strings!) and I took ds on his bike to the park. Was lovely to get outside after being stuck in most of the winter.

50p on y0ugov earlier and overpaid 50p that was payable in tcb.

I'm taking today as a success. I do love a happy Sunday, it makes going into the working week so much easier.

Almost payday and cb has landed today so have balanced cc food spends. Made a 29p Tilly tidy and we have £90 to get us through to Friday. Did yet another food shop yesterday and I need fuel so those balances are ever increasing! Thank goodness it's a short month as 3 days less must equal at least one less supermarket visit!

50p on youg0v again yesterday but payout feels a very long way away - shall keep plodding.

I also need to check spreadsheet as we are at the beginning of another 'knock a month off' goal which fits in nicely with Pavlov's 1% thread. We have just over 100 months to do so the 1% target will help us knock those months off a little faster.

    February spends

    Supermarket £194.52
    Fuel £50.26
    June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!

Why can't I stay away from the supermarket! Spent another £4.95 today and then £30 on fuel so need to update spends. Won't use all that fuel before month end but it will help offset costs next month. New n3ctar app working very well for us, had 120 bonus points from that little shop today.

29p Tilly tidy and 50p on y0ugov so some mortgage busting progress made.

Off to bed aching but feeling accomplished. Absolutely smashed the gym this evening after work, increased all my weights and have done over 18k steps. Ds wants to watch a film tomorrow evening so expecting my steps to be lower tomorrow so needed to balance them out. Am hoping the legs stop aching overnight though!

Wow I'm shattered! Think it's probably due to a heavy gym workout yesterday as legs also aching....a lot!

We have both managed to stay away from supermarkets today and I've also made my frugal lentil, veg and sweet potato combo which should last for a few days. Had to really improvise for lunch today and almost bought a meal deal so batch cooking was definitely required! All cupboard ingredients so a win-win.

Need to make a cc payment to balance spends so will do that later hopefully so accounts cleared ready for payday. Roll on the end of the week and some decent overpayment, this part of the month is so boring!!

    February spends

    Supermarket £201.90
    Fuel £110.26

  • Just wanted to pop on and say hi, I've been reading through your diary over the last week weeks. Started from about 15 pages back. I just wanted to say I am in awe you are absolutely smashing it on so many levels steps, fitness, nutrition, finances, home improvements, and filling your memory bank! Well done you've got me inspired I've been contemplating the idea of signing up to RH Fitness for quite a while now and think I will bite the bullet especially now they have released the app. How much have you lost in total. I've subscribed so can keep up with how you're doing but well done I don't know how you cram everything into the day.

Hi Kittykat, thanks for popping in and for your comments. Do you have a diary? Some days I feel I don't achieve that much but think I'm just used to fitting it in. Am off for a few days next week which is very much needed as the full time train is making me tired this week. Have a few nice things planned though. :j

Fitness wise KK I wasn't overweight to begin with but have lost a stone of fat and also assuming I've built some muscle. Just want to shave off a few more pounds and then I'll see how I feel. Aiming to focus on the mirror more than the scales from this point. I'd definitely recommend what they teach, the support is fab and you learn so much.

Have updated spreadsheet with overpayment of £66.87 (extra in wage plus tt) as get paid tomorrow so will actually transfer and overpay then. We are currently at £645 to knock off an extra month so definitely need to remember it is a marathon and not a sprint. Good job I earned 25p on youg0v this evening :D

Last day of the working week and I plan to fill my cup on my days off as it's feeling a little empty. Just need some time to recharge the batteries and I'll be raring to go again. That said, nutrition and steps smashed again today!

My husband needs a supermarket ban!! Another £45 spent he says on treats!! I spot lots of duplicates! Mission will be to make it last.

Payday shuffle almost completed, just waiting for dh pay to complete the rest as my wages sadly don't cover all our spends - if only.

I really should be up and ready to leave for the gym but crawling out of bed at 8:30 means I'm only just starting my second cup of coffee.

Have a few activities planned with the children over the weekend and we are also counting down to our holidays this week so lots of good things to look forward to. Keeps me spurred on to keep smashing this mortgage as we are definitely managing to live well along the way.
