Pension paperwork found, pot not particularly exciting but it's early days and not dh's only pension pot.
Made my first overpayment of February £1.01, seems daft sending 1p and will cover Tilly tidies throughout the weekend. Dh did another food shop yesterday which bumps up our January spends but may help with February budget. Will check all budgets/spreadsheets later when on laptop and do an update.
Hope those of you in the south west are safe with the snow.
January spends
Supermarket £281.54
Fuel £109

Well I appear to be having a productive morning sitting at my breakfast bar. Checked accounts and reward has hit so have overpaid another £4.41 to round up the pennies after car payment goes out. Then logged in to tcb and have £12.67 payable so have just requested that. Plan to pay that off the mortgage and get the spreadsheets updated.
Mr S giftcard has arrived. I don't know how long b*gas have had a reward service but I've only just found it. I also have a cuddly toy on it's way apparently!
Some of today's jobs include
- spreadsheets and budget review
- check &ky tarrif as payment this month was £49.50
- cancel NT membership (May put this towards zoo membership on direct debit
- book blood donations for both of us as reminders have come. I'm assuming my ferritin is either stable or I'm just used to being tired!
No other plans for the weekend apart from haircut and gym tomorrow (went to gym straight from work least night so could have this morning off which took some dedication on a Friday!)June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Started the day with another Tilly tidy of 75p courtesy of tcb. There isn't a great deal left to reach payout so will carry on with daily clicks and hope the funds don't completely dry up!
Didn't get much done off 'to do' list yesterday but did book our next blood donations. Found a location nearer to home (we pass it on the way to the usual place) which is a bonus.
I made my usual lentil, bean and veg batch cook mix yesterday. So cheap and easy to make, filling with lots of meat free protein and feeds me most of the week. Thankfully I don't mind eating the same foods each day (sometimes twice a day).
Today I must cancel NT, it's a shame we don't use it anymore but I just think we're past that stage with the children. I do have such good memories of our local property though.
Haircut yesterday came in under budget so that helps with the cash flow. Be a bit premature for me to overpay the difference as I try to keep disposable spends low anyway. We are starting February strong though with no food/fuel spends yet. I do need to do a shop later but will stick to the list!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
I often cook for 4 to serve 1
so regularly eat the same things. I had fishermans pie 3 days (4 meals this week.. I did worry being a fish dish I was taking things too far on the last serving. I should have put it in freezer day one.

I eat food waaaay past the day most people would!
Managed to get to day 4 of the month with no spends on food and fuel. Checked the budgets and have just over £200 left in this budget for two weeks, so of course the plan is to only spend £100 :rotfl:Will start with just topping up the fuel I will need rather than filling the tank and we have meal planned up until Friday. Possible spends will be ham (nasties free for ds) and milk. Overpaid another £10.50 which was tilly tidy and making allowance for the £10 Mr S voucher I have. £3.50 voucher also arrived from t3sco so if I use that I will overpay the same. Now just need around £25 to knock that month off :jJune 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -

Another nsd, I've also continued eating my batch cooking. Clearly
Not getting bored of it as rather disappointed I only have enough left for lunch tomorrow. Have made/weighed and portioned up some vegetarian burgers using a pea protein type mince. Hope they're tasty as I'm planning on having two for dinner tomorrow!
Went to the gym straight from work (it's definitely become a habit on a Tuesday which is great). 30 minutes weights workout done, have increased my weights on all exercises but don't see me getting past a 45kg leg extension! 15k + steps done as trying to get a little bit ahead of myself for the week.
50p on y0ugov and daily clicks done. In theory we could squeeze one more NSD out of this week so will try my best.
Almost hump day!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
We managed another NSD but dh is planning a food shop tomorrow and I also need petrol. Will try not to break the budget!
Made a very small amount of progress today, 11p Tilly tidy and daily clicks done. Also done almost 16k steps but absolutely shattered now so off to bed.
Not that much achieved but we are still a day closer to our goals.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Not every day is - or can be - a big achieving day. Sometimes it is enough to still be facing in the right direction.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Absolutely Apple, thank you for posting. We can't make huge overpayments daily, consistency is key.
We're at the lower end of our remaining spends now but shouldn't need much before payday. Small top up shop of £4.06 today, there were 3 things on the list, dh bought two of them and some unplanned items but he has made good use of them. He's used up some mince and made a lasagne and bolognaise for the children. Daily clicks done, have checked bills account and there should be £100 left just before payday we can pay off the cc.
Over 16k steps done today which means I can relax a little tomorrow after work whilst still remaining on target.
Feeling shattered though so off to bed!
