Quick check in from me debating whether to go to the gym this morning. I need to get going soon to be back for dd to go to football and don't fancy ds having to also go out in this storm.
Had a mini food binge yesterday (have been so hungry all week) and around a bottle of wine (first alcohol since just after Christmas) but thankfully feel okay this morning. Just need to drink lots of water to rehydrate and get rid of the sodium jump on the scales this morning.
Dh did a food shop yesterday and I got a co-op deal. I was on the hunt for pie to satisfy by cravings but it was out of stock! Definitely a good thing though as I'd have carried on eating it today. If one thing can set me off track it is cherry pie and custard!
Need to check accounts and set a budget for the next 10 days when cb hits swiftly followed by my payday.
Spotted 60p interest in one of the accounts so off to overpay that and see what else I can find as we're definitely at the overpayment slump of the month!

Must of been the day of the munchies yesterday, as I fell off the wagon also yesterday. Slowly gaining on the wagon just need to jump back on board again.

Must have been a bump in the road for us both CR. I've been back on track today, hit calories and macros, did a home weights workout and drank loads of water to try and reduce the inevitable sodium and carb bloat. Have felt satiated today though so am over my binge as it must have been needed. 15k steps smashed too.
Only spends today were on £2 football subs, dd scores both goals in one of the games so she was really happy when she got back.
Leftovers for dinner which helps with the meal planning. May roast a chicken tomorrow and that will do a few curries for dh and the children. I'm planning to make my new favourite lentil and veg dish tomorrow and hope it feeds me most of the week. Need to dig deep in this final week before payday!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
I too had a hungry day this week, bit mine was Wednesday! I'm finding that overall with running 4-5 times a week my appetite has actually reduced, and the added effect of less sugar means even less hunger. But Wednesday i had hollow legs!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0

Great work getting back on track. I think we all have those days sometimes where we can eat everything in sight.
You still following team RH?0 -
Must have been something in the air, I was climbing the walls! Been smashing it since new year though so no wonder my body wanted more food, just wish I'd planned it in a more structured way than just eating whatever was available. That's a great commitment to running Jimmy, I used to run and loved it - also great for clearing your head.
Hi PF, yes am following teamrh, it just makes so much sense and there are new changes which have made it even better. I should she asked for advice earlier in the week!!
Off to the gym this morning then I'll do a quick mr s shop. The new reward app is offering me bonus points on items we usually buy so will get them and hope that's the last shop for a week. I will allow bread, milk, sandwich fillings and fruit purchases only following this!!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Quick update from me.....
Feels like our food spends are spiralling out of control and as I bought items today I was aware that the less I spent, the more I could overpay. The realised that overpayments from the food budget are a bonus, not a requirement. That said, food spends need to stop at least for a few days!
Went to the gym and did 40 minutes of weights and have smashed 16k steps today. Have batched cooked a lentil mix to supply lunches most of the week.
Dh May regret telling me about a footballer who has had results from going vegan. We talked ourselves into a vegan challenge for a month. Possibly in a few weeks time. Am sure dh will manage okay as he doesn't really eat dairy but he is a big meat eater. Hopefully we will both feel brilliant at the end of it!
No Tilly tidy today but have done some daily clicks on tcb. May have to plan February payday savings/overpayments whilst we get through the money lull.

Keep up the great work Cath, you're doing really well. It feels like a monotonous uphill struggle sometimes doesn't it, but it's worth it for the peace of mind that we're giving ourselves. Well done you!0

Thanks Lula. Good to see you popping in, will head over to your diary.
Bot much to report, £20 fuel spends to keep us going until payday, 30 points on y0ugov and stayed out of the supermarket! Might be able to stretch tomorrow as a nsd which will bring slightly closer to payday!
Had a quick look at the budget as have some holiday expenses due this month but we will be in a much stronger position after payday and I can always utilise some of the allocated mortgage OP's or savings.
Smashed my nutrition, steps and weights workout today so that brings me another day closer to my goal.
Hump day tomoro which always helps!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Didn't manage to avoid the supermarket! £4 on coffee and another £6.02 in the shop on the way home but did get a good meal deal and a till spit of a voucher for a free snack bar item.
Got a y0ugov survey waiting and steps to finish so will get to bed as soon as possible after that! Not expecting us to make any more overpayments now until payday, funds are definitely stretched but I know we can look back and see we have achieved a lot this month.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0
