I use courgettes in overnight oats and beetroot in smoothies. 12 months ago I would never have done so, but having given them a try I'm sold!!

Ooooh, lots of lovely food chat whilst I've been sunning myself in Spain! I'll be taking those tips on board thank you.

Am back to reality with a bang and have both the washing machine and dryer on the go and still no sign of the floor being washing free! DH has done a food shop and we are hoping for a relaxing evening.

Money wise, brought a few euros home and didn't spend anything on the card. We've made some priceless memories and although exhausted feel relaxed and the holiday was very well timed. Children aren't keen on going to school on Monday after having an extra week off!

No fines here, we're in Wales so only need permission from the school. Thanks SHS, holiday still catching up with me but loved every minute of it.

Managed to sort out the saver account today and have transferred the childrens' savings to a 5% account whilst I work out what to do with it. We've got £2400 I've put in another 5% account as we have no plans for it as yet!

Current account looking healthy but we have a few spends coming up which include football subs and new car tyres! It's also dd's birthday soon and we've made no party plans as yet so will chat to her tomorrow.

The scales tell me I only gained 1lb on holiday which is surprising as I got drunk several times! :rotfl:However I stuck to mostly healthy food choices and as have recently stopped eating meat was eating a lot of fish. I also chose fruit for dessert. I was pretty active too and even went for a run, long walk and bike ride as well as playing water polo! Will continue to weigh daily and hope that 1lb is water retention from the alcohol and I actually lost weight! :D
