Morning, just popping in whilst the children are occupied by toast and a film!
Went out for a walk yesterday to our local NT property, we love it there and haven't been for ages. It was nice that i got out properly too and didn't feel exhausted by the end of it. I did fall asleep at 9om again last night though!
Dh thinks his wages are correct unfortunately but at least there's nothing to chase up. I get paid tomorrow, all money shuffled are done so will just do the remaining transfers tomorrow. Just paid another £34.31 off cc which was made up of money leftover in our m*s accounts and food savings as used m*s vouchers. Good old m*s!! Also have £10 for Mr M but not really sure what to buy from there. Just over £240 left on this card so that balance will be cleared tomorrow :j
Dh has popped to work to do some overtime and we are out at an event this afternoon which I need to get dressed up for. Think I might try and hoover the cars today before we go as they're looking a bit neglected! Have to make the most of the driveway being clear of skips and building materials! Fingers crossed the extension is watertight this week, just the roof to finish and windows to go in. The big knock through should be a week tomorrow!!! :jJune 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -

It didn't get done in the end, it tried its hardest to snow, was freezing so dh didn't take the children to the park. Both cars remain a bit grubby!
Went out for a couple of hours in the afternoon. We were at an expensive hotel for an event. I didn't want anything to drink but dh went to the bar. He came back with a lager shandy and 2 fruit shoots (which I don't let the chikdren drink) and a bill of over £6. When I mentioned it he did comment I also had a glass of water :rotfl: we did have a lovely afternoon though.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
I've cleared a credit card!! :j
The 0% interest ends next month and in the past I've always had to do another balance transfer to avoid interest. Feels good to pay it off and not have to do this. Next one ends in May so regular payment made this morning plus a 30p Tilly tidy.
Will also have some wages leftover to pay off the holiday balance which our original budget didn't showstill using the food from our m*s dine in deal, had bought a chicken which feeds us well and still a lasagne left. The wine is long gone :rotfl:

I should cut it up, along with the rest!
More wine needs to be purchased for this evening. There's something about Friday which needs the 'glug glug' sound of wine being poured! After this I'm giving up wine for at least 30 days!
Been a busy few days between work and home. Build is progressing well, joiners been here all week doing the roof. Tilers are coming on monday. I did think the windows were going in today but so far they are just sat in the utility room. Ive taken today off work as annual leave as the fatigue is catching up with me and I'm struggling a bit so don't mind there being less workmen here as it's not exactly peaceful!
Spends remain low this month

Well it's been a fairly productive day. Managed to catch up on a lot more housework so can have a more relaxing weekend. Builders have made good progress today and the windows are in so it looks completely different. Will undergo a major transformation next week too so looking forward to seeing that.
Dh pleased with himself as went to a supermarket opening this week and was given a free set of gl0bal knives which he's really happy with. He's also booked my car in for service and MOT in the next couple of weeks. Fingers crossed it will pass with no work needed!
Have also managed to move a huge pile of branches and roots from the back garden, involves bringing it through the house but we managed. I did all of it apart from 3 really big branches but definitely overdid it as had lung pain shortly afterwards.
Double checked cc and it has a zero balance! Not much else money making g or saving activity but we're generally being frugal and I froze this morning save putting the heating on when the children were at school. I gave in after lunch!
Time for a glass or 3 of vino and a film with dh. Happy Friday everyone.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Happy Friday! Your wine reminded me that my Mum brought round a bottle of Prosecco she had left over from Christmas/New Years, she doesn't drink it, so I have a treat
The extension is going well, we are finally getting our house sorted, quotes in on Monday for the upstairs bathroom, hoping its not going to cost too much... DH was like "we just need someone to stick the pipes in and we can do the rest" no...
Hope you have a restful weekend! (they really should do a wine glass one of those!)Started Jan 2017: Mortgage: £110,958 : Loan £6,679.51 : CC 0%: £3,586.95
