Another fairly productive day but we are missing the sunshine! It's taken all day for the storm to arrive but it is pouring with rain now, although we have escaped putting the heating on.
DH went for a run this morning and then I did shred whilst he went to the charity shop. That's a bag of clothes/toys and a storage crate of cups/glasses decluttered. That frees up some space in the utility and the landing. Had to popp back to mr s for baking ingredients amd we have en Easter treat chilling in the fridge, just the melted chocolate and mini-eggs to add on the top. Tonight's meal is leftover lasagne and it is so much more relaxing when a meal doesn't need preparing (says me who doesn't do the cooking!)
Food spends updated
Food - £161.98
Petrol- £167.08
I am genuinely surprised that covers almost a month of food spending!
I am hoping the rest of the day involves a lot of relaxing. We had wine last night and I woke with a headache after just 2 glasses. It's definitely put me off anymore!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
I am the same with wine. Seems to wipe out the whole of the next day for me

Happy Easter :easter_ba
The children have had a very modest selection of eggs and are having fun creating egg hunts this morning. Sun was shining this morning which gave me false hope of us getting out for a couple of hours but it is quickly clouding over! Gas and electricity metres read so will submit readings once website appears to be working again. Am hoping to have reduced use enough to avoid them trying to increase our standing order.
Mortgage statement received and have noticed that they haven't taken the OP the last two months, it is tiny as reduced it to help with architect fees but bit annoyed it appears to have expired! To help me feel less annoyed I have transferred and paid £17 off cc.
Also have an old phone I can sell on mus1c m4gpie, was saving phone for dh but it won't accept his sim card. Not expecting much for it but its better than nothing.
Hoping to stay away from sugar today, we made an amazing salted caramel shortbread yesterday but I felt so rubbish from being so unhealthy. No wine for us, I had a juice and an apple to try and feel better!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -

Thanks MG, you too.
Well it's been another productive day. Load of washing done and left on the line as long as possible! Am going to have to put CH on at some point to get it dry
Gas and electric meter eadings submitted. Done some calculations for new budget as hoping to pay c/tax over 12 months instead of 10. Am going this will be as simple as making a quick phone call on Tuesday. I bought a tray of violas from Mr s yesterday so have used them to plant/top up 4 different planters. Garden looks a like bit more spring like now
My old mobile is worth £14 so will get that posted off on Tuesday and OP the funds asap.
Dh got called into work last minute which isn't ideal but it will be worth it next payday
