I hope so SHS. I am a planner and bring in limbo does not suit me!
SIG updated and factored in savings so WIOTW figure is likely to fluctuate. Mortgage reducing too slow!y for my liking but hopefully get back on track next few months.
Budgeting £100 for our mini break, let's see if we stick to budget as this is for everything!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -

Am checking in once a day hoping PP is through Cath! Enjoy your breakLife is changing...but I'm still Money Saving!0

Do you take your savings in to account in your wiotw figure then? I might do that (be less depressing!)
Have a great break.
We have been away this week. Haven't spent a penny. Brought our own food and used nt passes and the countryside as our entertainment. It's been bliss and the kids have loved it. So nice to be amongst like minded people in mse land.
Good luck with the pp.

Hello
We are back from our mini-break in Devon. It didn't quite go to plan as we arrived at the most depressing, poorly equipped park! We were too early to check in so went for a play on the only play park and realised how awful it was! We popped to the local beach but realised we would need to go off site everyday! We got back to reception and our accommodation was delayed! I was my usual impulsive self and dh agreed we ring up and go back to where we stayed last year! Cost us £380 but we needed a decent break and we have no regrets (apart from depleted savings!). We have had a fab mini break
Architects rang whilst we were in the awful place (just to add to the negativity) and explained there were some issues the planning officer needed to clarify and is hoping to have a decision Wednesday. It is related to how close our extension will be to next doors detached garage. I'm now worried we won't get it but dh is keeping me more relaxed by being his incredibly laid back self! We are such a good match!!
We came in on budget for weekend away. Withdrew £100 and this covered £30 additional fuel for journey, £10 on treats gifted to the children (one chose sunglasses and the other goggles!) And all our food and entertainment. In reality we spent £60 whilst we were there! Yes it would have been nice to have a meal out but not worth the expense. Have just remembered that £60 included a £12 box of wine! Wow we can make our money stretch!
Willm update all figures tomorrow, despite having had a holiday I am shattered. Possibly have some sort of virus as had cough and voice threatened to disappear all weekend but I think I'm so used to being tired I blame exhaustion. I think I've forgotten how to recognise signs of illness in myself!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Hi muser, wiotw does include savings. We only have a small amount which has taken a hit this weekend!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0

Wish I hadn't checked the bank accounts. 2 weeks until payday so it's going to be challenging! Everything has left the account that needs to apart from a few cheques so will have to make sure I remember about them!
April spends
Petrol £91

2 weeks until payday and accounts too slim to make Tilly tidies! We have £100 minus written cheques so am going to withdraw £50 next time we need shopping and make this last. Petrol will have to go on the credit card until payday. I really don't want to transfer anything else across from savings!
However, I have done a quick budget for May when in theory we have zero childcare to pay and its looking very promising!
Yesterday was really productive, started the day not feeling good at all but managed to move some plants in the garden (in preparation for extension), line dried 2 loads of washing, hoovered the car and did a HIIT workout! Also enjoyed a couple of chapters of my book whilst dd at piano to balance things out a bitJune 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Sounds like a nice day. I'm kinda wishing April away until payday as well, even though I dislike doing so!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

I wish every week away trying to get to the weekend. Used to really wish the month away so could update totals on the 1st but since we are not making huge op's I'm sticking to the weeks!
